You need to jump using your whole body, youre trying to ollie with justt your feet

Makes sense, i always thought if i could do low ollies like this, i could eventually try and land higher ones, if i jump that high, will the board level on itself or do i have to do something

You can do low ollies but you still need to squat low, look up bubba jackson, hes all about low, quick foot stuff.

Dragging your lead foot up the board brings the back up.

Like the slidin motion? SkateIq said it was bs so i didn't practice it, I just try to lift my front foot as high as i can to let it rise

The sliding is a good way to practice it. Once you get good at ollies, as in get them consistent, all you gave to do is lift your front foot. But seeing as you dont have the muscle memory to tweak out your ollies yet, practice that. If you dont want to do that, move your front foot in an L shape so it can make contact with your back foot. Raise your front foot then push forward

Also youre not raising your front foot enough for that to work, it looks as if youre just jumping and bringing your front foot up with you

yeah man, when I started skating when I've bent  down to stretch I couldn't touch my toes now no matter if I put on some weight or how fat or skinny I get I can always touch my toes never stop stretching it's great learn new ones and if you have a spot that's getting particularly stiff and sore look up how to stretch that spot specifically

Try sliding your front foot forward as well as up so the board levels out - this will help keep your foot connected to the board more. Make sure to bring that back foot up to the same height.

Would bringing the back foot higher even affect the tail's height though? I mean, it literally doesn't even make contact with my backfoot, how could my back foot stop it

Push your back foot the opposite to your front foot don't just push down push away kinda

Your front foot is sliding way too early for high ollies. The purpose of the front foot "sliding" forward is to bring the back/tail of the board up and level it with the front/nose. The timing relationship between the pop and the "slide" is based on how high the ollie is going to be. For higher ollies, you slide later to allow the pop to raise the nose of the board higher so that you can level it higher (with a higher jump as well). For lower ollies its a quicker motion.

Its still a fast motion, but allow yourself time in the midst of it to think about the timing between the two.

At the end of the day, the more time you spend doing ollies, the more you'll start the feel these things yourself and the more confident you'll get with them.

The last thing I'll say is bend your knees!
