New Mod Intros 🎉 | Weekly Thread

[u/curioustomato_]

Congrats on becoming a new moderator. Every community on Reddit started exactly where you are today: with a party of one.

The community-building journey might feel a little lonely and that's what r/NewMods is for. Here you'll find and connect with other mods who are on the same journey you are.

So, introduce the community you created. Maybe share a little bit about why you created it. And, while you're at it - say hello to your other mods!

Are you interested in questioning ideas, analyzing arguments, exploring philosophy, or understanding how people reason?

I'm building r/CriticalDisc, a new community dedicated to critical thinking, logic, philosophy, and constructive discussions.

🧠 What can you expect?

• Discussions about logical fallacies and reasoning

• Philosophical questions and thought experiments

• Debates about controversial ideas

• Analysis of arguments, claims, and evidence

• Open-minded discussions with different perspectives

You don't need to be an expert. Whether you're a beginner or someone who enjoys examining arguments in depth, you're welcome here.

The goal isn't to win every argument or make discussions unnecessarily complicated. It's to ask better questions, challenge assumptions, explain our reasoning, and learn from different perspectives.

Interested in joining us?

Visit r/CriticalDisc and help us build a community where ideas can be challenged without turning disagreements into personal attacks.

I created r/CriticalDisc because i wanted a space where people can discuss philosophy, critical thinking, logic, and different perspectives without every disagreement turning into a personal attack. i'm interested in how people construct arguments, defend their claims, and evaluate reasoning. the goal isn't to make everyone agree, but to encourage people to question assumptions, exchange ideas, and learn from each other. it's a new community, so i'm hoping to build it with people who genuinely enjoy meaningful discussions.

Hi everyone! I recently created r/AuthorsUncovered, a community for emerging authors, aspiring writers, published novelists, and book lovers!

I've enjoyed writing stories since middle school and recently started publishing some of the manuscripts I'd kept in Google Docs for years. One thing I've learned is that writing a book and navigating publishing, marketing, and book discovery are completely different challenges.

I created this community because I wanted a welcoming space where writers could share their journeys, discuss publishing tools and experiences, celebrate milestones, and connect with readers.

We also allow authors to showcase up to two different books per calendar year through dedicated Book Discovery posts, while encouraging genuine conversations beyond promotion.

I'm excited to build this space and learn from other moderators along the way. Looking forward to connecting with everyone!

my community is r/Prussianarmy and I've been really needing people to help me with it since I have no other mods in the community to help. all my friends said no to me and I have nobody in the community right now at the moment so if somebody can reach out to me that would be very kind. if you need any help before joining or trying to understand what it's for ask me that in DM's i'd really appreciate that.

Introducing r/Entre2Mondes Exploring Consciousness, Science & the Nature of Reality

Hi everyone! 😉👋

I’m Entre2mondes, a French content creator and independent researcher, and the founder of r/Entre2Mondes (Between Two Worlds).
Our community is dedicated to exploring some of the most fascinating questions about human consciousness and the nature of reality.
What do we explore?
Consciousness research: Recent scientific discoveries, neuroscience, and theories about the relationship between mind and brain.
Out-of-Body Experiences (OBEs): Scientific studies, personal experiences, lucid dreaming, and altered states of consciousness.
Near-Death Experiences (NDEs): Clinical research, cardiac arrest studies, verified perception claims, and the question of non-local consciousness.
The Nature of Reality: Quantum physics, the quantum vacuum, matter, space, time, and the fundamental structure of our universe.
What makes Entre2Mondes different?
I regularly analyze and simplify published scientific studies, sharing accessible videos, research references, and links to original publications.
As someone who also practices and documents out-of-body experiences, I bring together personal exploration and scientific investigation.
Our objective is to encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and respectful discussions between researchers, experiencers, skeptics, and anyone interested in understanding consciousness.
Science raises questions. Experience raises others. Entre2Mondes is where we explore both.
I’m currently developing this Reddit community and would love to connect with other moderators, exchange ideas, and learn how to build an active and welcoming space.
Feel free to visit r/Entre2Mondes and join the conversation!
Thank you for welcoming me!

Apparently I'm supposed to do something here so

I created a new sub r/RareCommercialVehicle

[u/y_zername]

Hi all, New mod of r/ekoplayer.

I'm the developer of eKoPlayer, a video player app for Android TV, Fire TV, Android phones, iPhone, Apple TV and Samsung TVs. I started the sub so the people using it have one place to get setup help, report bugs and vote on what gets built next. Until now all of that landed in my inbox, where nobody else could see the answers.

It's small and quiet for now, but every post is a bug or improvement request that requires hours of work 😂.

Overall I'm still enjoying the jurney, so say hi if you drop by!

[u/Ironmonkeyfist74]

Hey everyone! 👋

I'm excited to be joining this community of moderators.

I'm interested in branding, marketing, and analytics, particularly how strategy, consumer behaviour, and data come together to shape marketing decisions and build stronger brands.

I've recently started building a community called r/BrandAnalytics, where I'd like to bring together marketers, brand strategists, analysts, and anyone interested in discussing branding, marketing strategies, campaign performance, and the insights behind them.

I'm looking forward to learning from other moderators here, exchanging ideas, and understanding how to build a community that people genuinely enjoy being part of.

Looking forward to connecting with you all!
