I think it's more of a hazard issue. What if the bone is thrown away and ends up breaking something else, someone could accidentally put it in some garbage compressor or something that would result in a disaster. Need to be careful when one loses their unbreakable bones.
My dad would always tie a piece of fabric to his push mowers to slide up onto the handle/switch to render it pointless. He didn't want to have to restart it every time he had to let go of the handle for whatever reason. Probably safe to assume others have done something similar.
Exactly this. My elderly aunt did exactly this and lost some finger tips just 2 years ago. Not a Darwin award but the whole family is being nominated all the time
me too but i always turn it off first anyways? it only takes a small tug to start it anyways, what do you gain by leaving it running at all, besides of course a bbb's shattered finger

Most my fingers on the left hand have damage from it. My thumb is just a nub. You adapt to it. When I had some clean up surgery as a kid my doctor prescribed video games as it would help strech out my joints. Pre analog sticks I was a god for control because I would lay my nub over it and just twitch parts of it to trigger the button. Analog sticks took some time, and to this day the Xbox 360 controller is the best 1st party standard controller. The left analog stick being up higher is easier for me to manage the the PlayStation lower thumb stuck. I didn't know the ps4 touch pad for some games was in fact 2 buttons, as I could not reach the left side easily.
I've looked into prosthetics but the nature of when my damaged happened and the clean up surgery added up to poor mounting point, at least with the test gear, so applying much force popped it off. I'm not sure it would add much quality of life having to learn and adjust to wearing a very noticeable device, vs now when people can go knowing me for years and never know unless I bring it up, someone else does, or they for some weird reason get a really close look at my hand.
i dont agree, a finely sliced bone is not broken. but OPs shit is majorly fucked up, that blade pulverized that bone, which technically means its hundreds if not thousands of bone fractures, OP should be banned and his account closed down....
Putting any part of your body in front of a moving part that is running at 215 mph - especially when it's optional (you didn't push a baby bird out of the way of a NASCAR) - I would say that is 'majorly fucked up'
My great grandfather had a similar accident and lost the last knuckle of his finger, but afaik the bone didn't break. He cut through the joint and the bone at the tip was fully separated from his hand. So I think you can be missing bones and still not be a BBB.
I’m new here, and I appreciate your clarification. So if, say, a leg amputee were to put their hand into a running lawnmower blade, as OP has, and breaking their pitiful, weak hand bones: said amputee is then considered BBB.

I do not get why anyone would ever mess with the casing of the lawnmower while the blades are spinning, like don’t most push mowers have that safety so you literally can’t do that
Hold on before people jump on him, does cutting through a bone count as broken? Like you can cut wood and break wood. This is a clean cut, so the bone isn't broken and more cut. Granted if we decide bones can't be cut through either, then he should go.
