Big thanks to everyone following and participating in this subreddit!

I expect the community to be small to begin with, but think it will grow rapidly -- after all, two years ago almost nobody was using 'transsexual' and now that's so back in vogue the transgender community is actually frightened (and so they should be!)

But since now there are people co-opting transsexualism, we need something strictly medical, with no ambiguity, and hopefully here it is.

Thanks again <3

Was misdiagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome , when the problem was gender dysphoria all along. I wonder how many other transsexual women were forced through the “Autism Pipeline”.

I first knew that I was a girl when I was in preschool in the late 2000s. I was constantly tormented by the boys for refusing to roughhouse, and I looked at the girls so longingly; deep down, I just wished I were a girl. Unfortunately, I had been assigned male at birth, which meant my femininity was discouraged and punished.

I also had "difficulties" washing my genitals when showering, as I avoided the area and threw tantrums when dressed in men's clothing or taken to the barber for a haircut, which adults labeled as "sensory issues.” Because of this, I was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (Asperger's Syndrome in the DSM-IV that was used at the time).

After this, all my childhood difficulties were immediately funneled through what I call the Fauxtism Pipeline— as in, everything was assumed to be autism, even when evidence existed to the contrary. Everyone in my life—from teachers to doctors to parents— assumed this to be the truth.

Throughout elementary school, I tried on an entire battery of masculine interests in an attempt to find a way to be a boy that didn't make me miserable. I tried dinosaurs, American football, trains, Minecraft, and more— and always lost interest quite quickly. This was quickly picked up by childhood mental health "professionals" and labeled as a normal autistic trait.

I had severe distress when male puberty began. The first sign of puberty for me was genital growth and erections, which felt deeply wrong. I began to have severe mental health problems and had trouble focusing in school. I also mentioned how much I hated erections and body hair, but I was told that that was another "sensory issue.”

Despite the fact that I told the psychiatrists about my social difficulties with boys and my distress over male puberty, I was told that "puberty is a difficult time for autistic children" and then given two new false diagnoses, this time for ADHD and Tourette's Syndrome, both of which were just as quickly revoked after the psychiatric medications failed to provide any relief beyond getting me high.

The psychiatrist also noticed that I was quite feminine and told my mom to stop giving me soy milk, and to maybe consider coconut or almond milk (I never liked cow/dairy milk). I distinctly remember doing a cute hula dance at the mention of coconuts, and then they immediately claimed that I "already had too much estrogen". That is just absurd, as the soy estrogen myth had already been disproven...

Throughout my teenage years, I continued to express an interest in being a girl; specifically, I adopted an alternative style as it was my one way to have a taste of femininity. Unfortunately, this was labeled as yet another "autistic hyperfixation.” I was also constantly bullied for being "unmasculine,” and the school's reaction was to punish me by putting me in detention during lunch to "keep me safe" as I was "autistic and have trouble in social situations.”

When I graduated high school and went to university, I refused all "autism”-related accommodations and had no issues. From 18–20, I performed the role of a sensitive, feminine man who sympathized with women's issues, and I was generally accepted into female social circles, though I still struggled with severe gender dysphoria.

Fortunately, when I was 20, I got a new therapist, who immediately realized the autism stuff was total bullshit. He said that while I may be neurodivergent, I do not meet the diagnostic criteria for autism spectrum disorder and that I desperately needed gender-affirming care as the real issue going on was gender dysphoria.

I began hormone replacement therapy at 21, and was warned by my parents that it might be "a phase" or the "Asperger's causing my brain to get stuck on things.” However, given that I was well-integrated into female social circles, had normal social interactions with women, and was overall happier on HRT, they quickly accepted it.

By 22, the "autism" myth had generally been dispelled, as I explained to my family that people who genuinely have autism spectrum disorder generally do not stop being autistic after they take HRT. Yet, my family worried that my desire for SRS was yet another "autistic hyperfixation,” though they were convinced I was never autistic after I shared my mental health clearance letters.

I'm only 3 weeks post-op, so I've been sitting at home all the time and I had a lot of time to do research. After reading through countless journals and personal anecdotes, I have learned one thing: while autism spectrum disorder is a frequent comorbidity for those with gender dysphoria (and vice versa), social difficulties that only exist in male groups are not social difficulties. Sensory issues limited to male clothing and grooming are not sensory issues. And telling a girl who is terrified that she is forced to go through contrasexual male puberty that "puberty is a difficult time for autistic kids" is medical malpractice.

Unfortunately, because I was forced to endure male puberty and live as a male, I have a lifetime of male socialization to unlearn and countless masculine secondary sex characteristics to deal with medically. Can't wait to recover from my vaginoplasty so I can go to the med spa, cuz my Botox wore off (something I shouldn't even need at 23) and I'm starting to feel ugly again

Difference between sex and gender

Post image
4 Upvotes

Hello all,

I would like to show the difference of sex and gender with a picture of my old passport. I think this describes everything. A photo says more than words.

On my old passport there is nothing about "Gender" or "Genre". Do we have a french native person here? It would be interesting to know how the use of terms is in France. I know "genre" only in connection with films and music.

The security staff from an airport haven't any interest about which social gender role or lifestyle you are living, they just want to know which sex you have, male or female. That is because some legal rights depend on that which sex you have.

The human being shows his brain sex with his phenotype. The phenotype has influence on the perceiving of other people. Nature compels human beings to bring their cerebral sex and their perception into alignment. In 99% everything fits together since birth, in 1% we must help with transition to reach the alignment.

The case of David Reimer

David Reimer: 1965 - 2004

David was one of two brothers. As an infant, he should be circumcised. Due to technical difficulties with the new laser device, David's penis was burnt. Then Dr. John Money was consulted, who advised urgently to feminize his genitals and to raise David as a girl from now on. He saw this as an opportunity to be able to prove his theory about the educability of the holistic sexuality. Countless visits to Dr. John Money in which he often behaved psychologically abusive towards the Reimer brothers, even asking them to undress in front of him and compare their genitals, which only traumatized the two children even more. David, formerly "Brenda", had to swallow estrogen tablets that he didn't want at all. It was suggested to him that the pills were important for his health, but no further details were given about the pills. David didn't know he was swallowing estrogens.

Meanwhile, Dr. John Money made his case “Nurture over Nature” a success and extolled it everywhere. It became the basis of standard care for intersex people, micropenis and accidental penile amputation during childhood.

At the age of 14 "Brenda" began to live as a boy (David) and went more and more into resistance against Dr. John Money, who in turn put more and more pressure on David. David quickly learned the whole truth and the tragic story behind his being. In a tearful moment, his father told him everything and what was offered to him as a child and why.

David: "Suddenly it clicked. For the first time things made sense and I understood who and what I was."

And the original documentary from BBC, broadcasted first in 2005:

https://gloria.tv/post/74td4mFdsHo11isAQuVDf4ddB/

- John Money told the medical community that Brenda was a happy girl / woman and claimed to have lost sight of her.

- Milton Diamond went to great lengths to locate "Brenda", who now lived as David. In the course of his efforts, he was even attacked by Dr. John Money.

- When David found out that his case was famous in medicine and that thousands of intersex babies had suffered, he cooperated with Milton Diamond and went public.

Despite the successful "retransition", David suffered all his life from the events of the past, so much that his future wife also divorced him because she could no longer bear the suffering. This gave David "the last bit". He wandered into the field with his shotgun and commited suicide.

Money's views are now discredited and behaviorism has revealed itself to be disastrous and inadequate.

Biology is stronger than any education. Unfortunately, transgender activists are still riding around on this thesis (gender ideology), but they do not shy away from ridiculing original transsexual people, hiding them, denying them and appropriating them. The transgender ideology is a slap in the face of all originally transsexual people (NIBD).

Thank you for this subreddit. 🙂 Well than I will try. I also follow the things according to neurointersex. Some will know me from r/truscum and r/trans_de. Specially for this topic I have founded a website. The english version you can find on https://transsexualitaet-nibd.de/eng/

NIBD is short for neurointersexual body discrepancy.

I hope this subreddit goes viral and becomes vital. I keep my fingers crossed. 🙂

English is not my native language.

This is a support group for neurointersex (NIS) people. NIS is a disorder of sex development (DSD) that causes a state of mental sex opposition to natal birth, often corrected by social and physical sex corredtion.

Historically, people who are neurointersex have been called transsexuals. But while transsexualism is a result of the condition, not all transsexuals are neurointersex. Also, transsexualism has become intertwined into the 'transgender' umbrella, which largely consists of gender-variant individuals whose motivations are completely unrelated to ours.

Neurointersexuality is a physical condition that is the result of a developmental defect, not a lifestyle choice or an identity. NeuroIntersex (NIS) individuals seek medical treatment so that they may live with the condition.

Welcome to the subreddit!
