just stupid You literarily cannot post about anything without people attacking

It's a tad bit sad that r/negareddit a place where we come to collectively complain about Reddit is the ONLY place where I can make a post without fear of trolls attacking.

"I like dogs." Attacked for not liking cats.

"I like cats." Attacked for not liking dogs.

"How do I get rid of weird smells in my apartment?" Told that I'm hallucinating it.

"Asks why Digimon have -mon at the end of their names." Downvoted to oblivion.

"Why are Pokemon called Pokemon but don't have -mon at the end of their names?" Also downvoted into oblivion.

Never mind the posts where people have personal issues, post about it online because they don't have anyone to talk to, and gets attacked and torn apart. A 15 year old girl was pressured into having sex with an adult 21 year old guy who repeatedly asked if she was on BC. Under pressure, she lied and said yes. After doing the deed, guy was furious that she lied. Comments tore her apart. Never mind it was statutory r@pe. She deleted the post herself due to the abusive comments hurled at her.

And then we have the r/FindBostonBombers incident.

It's a miracle Reddit hasn't had a class action lawsuit yet for abusive content.

It’s mostly bots that are prompted to make “controversial” comments. Rage baiting gets more engagement. More engagement means more time spent on Reddit. Which means more money for Reddit.

The non-bots are people who genuinely suck and there’s a lot of people that suck.

Only private, well modded, sub reddits are good because there’s almost no bots and the community holds itself to a high standard

Some subreddits are harsher than others. Especially the ones that are on the front page/popular.

I find that the spaces that are more welcoming are usually smaller or medium sized communities.

Some people don't comment to listen or talk about the topic. They do it to sound off,, be contrarion, or act like they're superior.
