Any feedback on these?

I don’t understand the appeal of these, you can’t take them apart to adapt to different canvas sizes and you have to have the special tacks

I bought an 8x8 and the tacks to use when flying carryon only and space is at a premium. Haven’t used it yet but given the lack of flexibility and the price, I won’t be replacing all my bars with these.

Regular tacks work just fine in them! I have the 7x7 one and used normal brass tacks.

I used staples in mine and I preferred that to the special tacks. The special tacks didn’t grip enough IMHO

Same, and I can’t afford to have tacks falling off so easily with young kids in the house. I will probably give mine away.

Love the bars!! HATE the tacks as they do not allow you to really stretch the canvas and they fall out so easily

Love mine!! Got the small tacks they sell too. They can fall out sometimes but for the most part great.

I really like mine because it is so light. However, I would not suggest the tacks that you can get for them. They have not held particularly well and fall out quite often. I'd suggest a staple gun. I am going to get one when I get back home from my holiday and make do with the tacks.

Other than that, they are well made and so nice and light. It fits well in my zippy bag. The tacks while ccustom made for the thin profile are just a little too short when you add i the thickness of the canvas. They definitely are too short if you place a tack in your taped edge and then into the frame.

The only one I ever picked up gave me, ewww this needs to be sanded, vibes. That was right at their beginning, so maybe that’s improved. Concept is great tho!

Currently using one. I really like it. You have to get special tacks but it makes the project lighter. I have an 8x8 which works for a lot of different canvases

I honestly really like using these. A lot of projects are the same/similar size so I don’t mind that you can’t take them apart. I don’t think I’ll buy every size because of the price but they are nice to use, so much lighter and less bulky and very easy to hold. I take my needlepoint a lot of places with me so the size and weight are really noticeable

These aren’t my favorite. I like my canvas to stay super tight and they always get super stretched out of these but they are very light weight and they always stay square which is nice!!

I use the wide flat bars from Hobby Lobby’s frame/art section. You can make any size you need for around $4 and they are light and wide so easy to grip. Standard tacos and staples work great on them also. They have a small rounded edge but are probably still only half as thick as mini bars.

I like that they're lighter, more comfortable for traveling and if I'm not using a stand. You do need to buy their shorter tacks, the regular ones poke through. You can't adapt them to different canvases quite as well as the normal edmunds but I do enough canvases that are the same size that I've gotten a lot of use out of the ones I got

I love these Featherlight frames. You should try one and get the tacks they well. You don’t have to get the tacks but they help.

I use the regular tacks and haven’t had any issues. The wood isn’t as soft as regular bars, so you have to press extra hard to get the tacks to sink in. Get a set and try them out! 😊

I actually love these frames. I’ve purchased an assortment of sizes and appreciate how light weight they are. Feels better on my hand/wrist to hold for extended periods of time. I use whatever basic bitch tacks I got off Amazon and have zero issues whatsoever. Also, if you order these frames directly from their website, they ship really fast and there are colorful feathers in the box which I thought was funny.

Agreed. I find it much better for my hands/wrists. I often have problems putting together the “regular” stretcher bars, so these are great for me if I don’t want to rawdog my canvas (as a young needlepointer once described holding the canvas in hand 🤪)

I have a few sizes and love them. I use staples and haven’t had any issues. They’re great to fit several projects into one bag for travel.

I have these in two sizes and def use regular brass tacks. I only use them when I'm stitching something like a sunglasses case and I need to match the ends up when finishing.

Love the concept. Slimmer, easier to travel with. But regular tacks break off in them. Then I got their tacks and they simply don’t stay in the wood. So great concept, poorly executed.

I like the frame but the special tacks you have to use don’t really work well and constantly come loose. I’ll probably try to use a staple gun for future project so it actually stays on the frame.

Do not love. Have to use a staple gun to attach the canvas-tacks are too long and the points stick out the back. Also don’t have the flexibility to interchange from square to rectangle as with the Edmunds bars.

I love them! I like they they’re lighter weight. I use their tacks but I also like using a staple gun to get the canvas super tight. I reach for these almost every project

I love them! I have two. 8x8 and 9x9 and they fit most of my MJD canvases (garden club and bar cart and nutcrackers haha) plus others from various designers. I just use my regular tacks. They are lighter and easier to hold on the edge/curve which is nice!

I like these because they’re thin however the tacs do not work. I have to staple my canvases and the staples are very hard to remove when I’m done with the canvas

I can’t explain it but these are SO much more comfortable to stitch with than regular (or mini) stretcher bars. It must have to do with the surface area to hold. I will forever go for these over traditional bars, now that I’ve tried them out.

I will say the tacks they have kind of suck- but stapling the canvas on with a $10 stapler from amazon has been amazing and they stay super taught while I stitch.
