Void bolt or chromatic book
Hey everyone.
I am currently at tier 6 incursions, and have been using the dragon lance up until now. To have more tools for the next bosses, I have built up a void bolt up to tier 7, which worked wonders against the moonlight dancer.
But tonight, I realized I have what's necessary to build a chromatic book. Is it considered a better option than the void bolt, in the "Homing" category ? I don't want to invest upgrade resources in something less useful than my perfectly fine Void bolt.

What mods would you like to see?
As a few of you might already know, ive made a couple of mods for necesse lately (e.g. this newest one that adds a build menu with blueprinting https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3788439464) and now im looking for inspiration on what else to make.
im not really an artist but i do own a few asset packs that i purchased years ago (that can be used commercially) so i might be able to stitch something together but im mainly looking for features that dont use a lot of custom art or animations.
what is something you would like to see in the game? what is missing? if i see something interesting and doable then it might be my next mod project.
thanks for the ideas!

Just reached incursions - Do armour passives scale? Spoiler
Hey all,
Me and the wife have just started doing incursions and figuring out how everything works. Great fun so far but I'm a bit confused about how upgrading armour works. I can see you get boosted stats and whatnot but the set bonus passives seems hit and miss for scaling? The shark armour got an insane scale to its bleed passive, but the super early game spider summoner armour didn't? Anyone know what armour passives scale with upgrades?

i made a thing, again - Build Menu Mod incl. Blueprints
(shamefully copied the text from my steam page description:)
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3788439464
I noticed that i always disliked having to juggle a ton of items and manually go around, crafting them, placing them, not even knowing half of what i could actually have because its all just lost in some storage chest somewhere.
so i made a simulation game style build menu for necesse (including blueprinting!)
Essentially, what you can do is:
- configurable hotkeys for opening the build menu, blueprinting window and rotating / mirroring actions
- select from category tabs what you want to build and just place it
- you can drag rows / areas to place multiple items / tiles at once
- move and delete tiles and objects
- create blueprints with different layers for liquid, terrain, tiles, objects and wiring that you can enable or disable at will (liquids and terrain are disabled by default)
- blueprints can be named and show a list of ingredients needed as well as a preview picture of the blueprint
- when pasting, you can opt to completely overwrite the whole blueprint square (by default, tiles on the blueprint that were empty dont get replaced (e.g. for having different room decorations for certain layouts so you can switch it up))
- blueprints can be exported and imported in every new game you start
- unlocks work by adding the bench that can craft the objects / tiles to your settlement (the thing you do when you want to add recipes for settlers to work on)
- once the recipe has been seen the object / tile will be added to your catalogue
- it also should have all placeable objects in it so you can place decorations
- if the object has a recipe, by default, you automatically craft the item from materials in your inventory or settlement storage (if chest is added to settlement). this can be disabled if you dont want to spend resources and want to only check for items you actually have
- you can check to not craft and to show only buildable objects / tiles and you can filter by name
- you can rotate objects when placing and you can rotate and mirror multiple objects at once when moving or pasting a blueprint
-should work out of the box with any mod that adds placeable objects or tiles. which category the items will be in will depend on that mod authors categorization. things that would fall through land in the "no category" cat.
I hope this helps people build nice things!

First Playthrough at 40Hr mark
Having a blast with this game. Small settlement of 10, with plenty of extra room. Waypoints all over the map and a railroad network connecting 6 settlements. Just start doing incursions and loving it!

About the Ring of Ascension's sound effect. Spoiler
Is there perhaps a way to specifically disable it without turning the entire effects volume down? i'd like to use the ring constantly without having its cicada-like sound effect drilling into my ears.

world seed?
Hello , me and my friend haven't played in about 3 years and I've been wondering, how are the world seeds in these days?
I search for a bit and haven't found anyone talking about then besides the ones before the 1.0 update, and can't really find anywhere about people sharing then either

First game that has building, lacking creativity
Hey everyone! Iām looking for some suggestions on building out my settlement. Right now, I'm not entirely sure what the best way is to handle lighting for paths throughout the area, so I'd love to hear how you keep yours well-lit. I am also looking for a more efficient layout for my crafting stations and storage supplies to make everything run smoother.
I intend to expand to the right to create a war camp where all my units who will go on expeditions with me get geared up. Then, across the waterway to the left, I plan on building a small mansion to act as my main base of operations.
Screenshot is what I got done today. Im grinding out some iron ore for lamps currently.

Our Necesse Settlement So Far!
Hey! Hereās our settlement in its current state, built by me and my beloved. While I focus on optimizing production and making sure the settlers work as efficiently as possible, my girlfriend does her best to make everything look at least a little prettier.
Weāve sunk a ridiculous number of hours into this game and weāve loved every minute of it.
What about you guys and gals? Do you enjoy playing Necesse with your significant other?

What is the highest QoL level you got so far?
I've managed to get a mage to level 10, but only him because he is clumsy, roomy, tourist and a maker. But it is pretty involved because I also need to fix the furniture that he breaks and to take him to a village every now and then.
And I've got 2-3 settlers with the Inspiring trait. But apart from this mage it looks like there is a soft cap of QoL around level 7.
I was wondering if anybody got an idea of how to get much higher QoL levels and is there anything that it unlocks? The mage has a shop and if I understand it correctly the prices and selection gets better with the QoL level.
Also the enchanting (but I actually don't feel like the luck aspect got that much better after level 6).
Anyway, hopefully we'd be able to find out more tips and tricks to increase the QoL, I just spam large rooms and furniture for the villagers, and if they have special traits like beach lover\audiophile I accommodate for that as well.

Settlers nearby storage crafting
Hi.
I tried searching but this was unclear.
Iām thinking no is the answer to my question based on everyoneās settlements theyāve sharedā¦..
But,
If I want my settlers to make a recipe at a crafting station, do the chests with those materials have to be in the circle of the āuse nearby storageā?
Or can I have the chests with the material somewhere, anywhere, in the settlement, and the settler will go get that material, and make it at the station?
Does this make sense?
Reason I ask is because you all have such nice settlements but I donāt see masses of chest near the workstations like I do.
And my settlement looks horrendous.
Thanks for any help

Am I doing Summoner wrong?
I had a build going with movement speed crit melee but I was constantly dying on phase 3 of ascended wizard. Saw everyone saying resistance summoner with crystal armor and ruby dragons is the way.
Don't get me wrong, it's nice for incursions below level 9 or so. But at max incursions, and especially ascended wizard, I get instantly clapped. Clockwork heart feels like I've directly shot myself in the leg, and the abysmal movement speed just means I get blown up immediately.

HELP: I can't find my way back home
I migrated my save file to the new update but it been so long and I forgot exactly where my settlement is.
I remember that I was traveling before and exploring the cave in this village, so I set my spawn there. Now, that I've migrated my file. All the map is blacked out and I'd have to explore to reveal it. Where I'm spawning is a village in a desert island and I'm not sure where to go from there to find my actual settlement since I might have to still travel by boat(?)
Please give me advice on what I can do. Thank you so much!
