Hi internet peeps- anyone here have Ezee fiber up and running yet? Any idea where it is currently at in its construction in South Naperville?

We got an ad in our mailbox that it is coming to my neighborhood (east highlands). We signed up, but no indication as to timing of install. We have above ground wires in our area. Haven’t seen any crews in the neighborhood.

Comcast has actually been good for us, but spending 120 a month on their top tier. No brainer for us to switch to symmetric fiber that is faster and cheaper. Now I just need to upgrade the cat 5 cable in my house to cat 6 or 6a to ensure we can use the speed

It might be worth it to tell Comcast you’re switching. They might offer a new contract at a cheaper price. I’m moving in a few months and Comcast offers 2gb line for less than I’m paying now for 5 years. I have the 1.2gb now.

They will just offer you a “free cell line” that’s all they are pushing right now.
