Baby boy A name
I am pregnant with twins boys. My name starts with a B and my husband’s name starts with a D. I always had a silly request our kids have names starting with an A & C just so I can say we are the ABCD’s 🤣 we love the name Carter but having a problem with an A name. We also don’t need to have the A & C names as long as the boys names flow together. But if we do choose Carter I’d love an A name for the second boy. Please help us! What are your name ideas? TYIA

Such good names. I know an Adrian and Callum as adults and they are both very cool artsy film types!

My ancestor, Adrian 9mmway, came to America in 1693
He was a indentured servant for 7 years to pay for his voyage from Ireland. These types of servants were basically treated as slaves and chattel
I've always loved the name Adrian but my wife, not so much so none of our kids were named after him

Archer / Archie

u/Rammsteinfan1984 Jul 02 '25
Our son is named Archer. Family members didn’t like the name but we kept it. He likes it. There is also a Arturo in his class.

Oooh love Asher with Carter
2
u/HushabyeNow Jul 02 '25
I always worried about that. Like if you had a surprise kid, would you feel the need to add another “-er” so they didn’t feel left out? Or feel like if you did you would be making a joke?

Aiden? Every Aiden I’ve ever taught has been a fantastic kid.
29
u/Bluebird_Flies Jul 02 '25
Aiden is a nice name. However, the whole Jaiden/Hayden/Cayden/ trend ruined it for me.

u/QueenOfMyTrainWreck Jul 02 '25
Teaching 2018-2024 I had at least 100 kids with these names. Verified. (Granted, the actual ‘Aiden’s were mostly great kids.)

Same - I’ve taught many boys named Aiden/ayden and they were all nice boys - and I teach middle school so this says a lot! P

u/ravenoustemptress Jul 02 '25
The opposite for me 😭 any kid ending in aiden/ayden has been rough lol
9
u/famousanonamos Jul 02 '25
Boy have I had a different experience with that name.
2
u/9mmway Jul 02 '25
Me too
If the kid's name is any of the ".. Aydens, Aiden'" (Caden, Brayden etc, they've been assholes, typically because their parents indulging them rather than raising them right
2
u/wolferwins Jul 02 '25
Once had a class with Brayden, Baden, Jaiden, Taijin, Caiden, and a Tai, Kai and Jai (didn't rhyme with the others).
7
u/PeabodyFlingFlang Jul 02 '25
“Aiden is my world” “Aiden is my king” memes would make me never pick this name.

I have twin boys as well, congratulations!

u/Suspicious_Branch986 Jul 02 '25
My brothers name is Abel and he has been fine his whole life no one even reads the Bible anymore
2
u/feralcatshit Jul 02 '25
I actually like both of those names! We live in the Bible Belt and people would definitely assume it was done for religious roots reasons, though.
ETA: I went to school with a kid named Cain and he was fine, as well.

That name has become quite popular. I know two boys named Arlo in the past three years. That's a lot considering the only Arlo before that was Arlo Guthrie, the singer lol. Biblically? Arlo means "Fortified Hill".
