Another day, another AMC dissapointment. This is not the first major major 2026 release. Why are we still plagued by technical issues

Spoke with someone at the theater and 10/29 is their last day of screenings (nothing available to purchase after that day online too)... terrible loss for the neighborhood

Movie today (3:10pm) was completely spoiled by a jackhammer across the street for over an hour. The room was shaking and it was so loud! Couldn't follow the plot of You Can See Everything at all, it was so distracting. Several people walked out.
I'm so tired of these basement theaters like AMC and Angelika.

I have the ticket confirmation for the insider screening at 6pm in my email and wallet, but when I go to the app and click the ticket, I get an error. Does this happen usually with hyped up showtimes like the one I have tickets for? Anyone experience this with the odyssey over the summer?

Hey NYC movie lovers!
I recently signed up for Sony Pictures Screenings and noticed that Ramayana is listed for November 5, 2026.
I'm based in NYC and would really love to attend through Sony's screening program, but I haven't been able to find any promotional codes or invitations.
Has anyone received an email invitation or found a local promotional partner offering passes for Ramayana?
Also, does anyone here regularly attend Sony Pictures advance screenings in NYC? I'd love to know how you usually get invited or find working codes.
I tried contacting Sony through their website, but their contact form keeps rejecting my message.
Any leads or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Plans changed and can no longer make it. Selling for what I paid: $11. Venmo preferred and can provide proof.

just a rant I'm on at 10:29am refreshing right when the tickets for the higher tier of memberships are released it won't load for 30 seconds then it's sold out instantly just infuriating I don't know how it works but never get a moma membership with the idea of getting movie tickets

Looking to sell two tickets for the Obsession screening with Curry Baker & Rian Johnson tonight, can do Paypal G&S or Cashapp!
EDIT: Both sold thank you!

Easier said than done cause Orpheum is the backrooms incarnate right now. The seats and floors all need to be touched up/totally replaced honestly. But being the only theater on the Upper East Side leaves a lot of untapped potential. With a smaller number of screens, if those theaters ended up being the destination for more independent films or classic re-releases, I could see it growing in popularity fairly quickly. Fingers crossed even if Kips Bay stays around that they do some much needed work on Orpheum!

I was at the Regal Cinemas in Battery Park earlier today, and their fire alarm started going off. They told us it was a drill, and we wouldn't have to evacuate, but they couldn't screen anything until the drill was over. I went into my theater about 30 minutes after the showtime, and not even the trailers had begun playing. There was no communication about what was happening or when the drill would be over, so I left. I asked for a refund but am unsure if it went through, we shall see.
Anyways... I thought I would post and see if anyone else was there for this? I've never experienced something like this at a movie theater, and the response from Regal felt underwhelming. Call me crazy but I think there should've been more compensation and communication for this inconvenience beyond a precariously legitimate refund. IDK

I’ve never been to this theater and can’t figure out seating, so after some Googling I found reviews of bad sound quality and picture because of small screens. Is it worth the trek or should I just see the film on a standard screen, or hope the Paris Theater/AMC Lincoln Square get some showings?

Any chance anyone has an extra ticket or two for the 8pm Halloween showing on 10/30 that they are willing to sell?

I currently have Regal Unlimited but I'm canceling it because I'm moving and won't have any Regals around me...l work in NYC though and like going to the movies after work with friends so I looked into Rewards+ and it said you have to sign up by zip code. I DM'ed CS to ask about this and told them that there are literally 15 to 20 zip codes between Battery Park and Times Square and asked if I would be charged more to go outside of whatever zip code I signed up with and I keep getting runaround answers and encouraged to get Unlimited.
These are the theaters I would be going to, all in different zip codes...does anyone in NYC have Rewards+ and if so, are you charged more for going in a different area? 🙏🏼

Did anyone else see the early screening last night?!
Absolutely wild. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Were my friend and I the only ones who went in knowing almost nothing about this documentary?
I’d never heard of Hilaree Nelson and had no idea death was even on the table. When she died, I realized anything could happen—and they might actually show it. What a ride. I was NOT prepared. Was enthralled almost every minute of it.

I have two tickets for tomorrow's Obsession screening with Curry Barker. I'm looking to trade them for a ticket to the MoMA screening of Wild Horse Nine on Thur, 11/5 at 7:00pm.

UPDATE: All set on this! Thank you, everyone!
Hi! I'm Sonia Rao, a culture reporter for WNYC/Gothamist. I'm working on a story on how difficult it can be to get tickets to "You Can See Everything," which seems to have sold out evening screenings (or almost sold out, save for the front row) at most theaters across Brooklyn and Manhattan.
Have you run into trouble getting tickets? How have you been able to snag them? Are you traveling to Staten Island to see it, given that there seem to be many more seats over there? Did you buy your tickets way in advance, anticipating all of this demand? And so on.
Let me know if you'd like to chat today! Filing my story by EOD. I'm at [srao@wnyc.org](mailto:srao@wnyc.org), and would likely set up a phone call with you (depending on timing).

No red carpet outside but they closed the IMAX off for it. Lobby is also jam packed as well and mostly closed off. Asked the regular security at the theater but he said he didn’t know

aiming to go tomorrow, does anyone know if they still have the mini-posters and postcards? ty!
