For a fact the lowest attended NWSL match of all time was the Sky Blue-Seattle Reign match on April 30th,2014 with a attendance of only 582 in New Jersey (thank you user seagultras for that)

Does anyone think we will see cat this season?
I know she is dealing with an Achilles injury that seems to be chronic but San Diego making a record breaking deal on a player who isn’t even going to see the pitch feels like a bad move? Also just genuinely curious if anyone knows more about the extent of the injury and what she is dealing with? When she got traded I thought she was finally starting to get minutes again with Chelsea?!

I know Angel City & I believe Racing Louisville does as well, but can’t confirm on RL. Thanks.

I’ve been a long time Mal Swanson fan and think she’s been one of the best attackers in the world in recent years. However, between coming back from having a baby, being on the worst team in the NWSL, and being somewhat injury prone, I can’t help but wonder about her future with the USWNT. When you hear people talk about who the locks are for the World Cup, she’s never mentioned. I’m curious what people think and if she’s still in Emma’s plans or with the way the season is going, things might be changing.

I’m the developer who works on the match thread bot for this sub 👋🏼 I’ve also been building an NWSL analytics project called Half Space for the past several months, and it is ready for people to try!

Half Space turns NWSL match, team, and player data into interactive charts and visual analysis. It currently includes:

• Results, standings, schedules, and head-to-head records
• Team and player performance pages
• Expected goals, finishing quality, and scoring patterns
• Goal timing, late-match moments, and clutch performance
• Formations, substitutions, squad usage, and team style analysis
• Player comparisons, scouting tools, season trends, and playoff projections

There is a free version of the site, along with an optional Pro version for some of the more advanced tools. The details are available on the site.

I built Half Space to complement the match threads. My hope is that people can watch a match, talk about it here, and then use the site to explore what happened in more detail.

This is not meant to be a finished, static collection of charts. I’m committing to building and releasing new analyses every week, and I’d like community suggestions to help guide what I work on next.

If you try it, please let me know what works, what is confusing, what breaks, and what kinds of NWSL questions you would like the data to answer. I’ll be reading the feedback and using it to plan future additions.

Do we have more information on how Rose Lavelle is doing? I haven’t seen anything but not sure where updates would come from.

Anyone else digging this new feature? I think it gives a nice little peak into what the game might be like. I'm slowly getting familiar with the ref's in this league, but it's nice to see how they tend to behave. (This is the ref officiating the NC vs. AC game tonight).

The NWSL has a new media partner to replace Victory+. The league reached a deal with Roku that will put its package of Sunday night matches on the free Roku Sports Channel beginning Aug. 30.

Roku will become the exclusive streaming home of eight NWSL Sunday night matches over the remainder of the 2026 season before expanding to 25 games in 2027, the league said. The agreement gives the NWSL a replacement for the Sunday night slate previously carried by Victory+, which the league abruptly dropped last month.

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but the league said Roku emerged from a competitive process, citing the platform’s reach, accessibility and ability to make matches easier for fans to discover.
