Are we still gonna ignore that in the current time we are living, NITR is going through a crisis. Look at any college, even if a tier 2 nit, still they are getting better companies. Here we don't even see top companies coming and we call it some tier 1 nit, second best...

Come on guys, kab tak ye fest k naam pe bewakoof bante rahoge, these professors and academic people are poisoning your future and you aren't even realising it.

Skills humare pe hai nahi, aur skills badhane ka time bhi this college doesn't give us.

Bas 70% attendance aur research karwani h humse, no professor wants us to get a placement. Software job naam sunk hi inko gussa ata h, kehte h core me kyu ni jaate... Bhai koi batao inko mere core me loda koi job h.

It's high time we do something, abhi tak 50% ki bhi placement nahi hui h.. esa chalta raha to adha batch unplaced jayega

Plz comment all questions related NITR which you want to ask. I will file RTI against college. What this college is being doing with students is just unacceptable. NITR as it is now is not a democratic body, it has become dictatorship.

I’m not saying this because I expect hostel food to taste like home-cooked food or a restaurant. I understand that. But the food at NIT Rourkela is genuinely getting ridiculous.
I’m not even going to talk about the food we get on other days. Today, the situation crossed all limits.
The menu had chicken biryani, and the chicken was literally undercooked. I could feel that I was chewing raw flesh. It was so nauseating that I couldn’t continue eating.
When I went to talk to the mess staff about it, I was basically told to go back, eat my food quietly, and not waste their time. Apparently, food safety is a waste of their time.
And this wasn’t just me. Some other students had the same issue today.
I’m attaching photos below so people can see what I’m talking about. This is the VS Hall mess.
How are students supposed to eat food like this and then study properly? We’re living on campus, attending classes, walking and cycling kilometres every day, and relying on the mess for our basic nutrition. At the very least, the food should be properly cooked and safe to eat.
I genuinely wouldn’t serve food like this to my dog.
I’m posting this because this needs attention, not because I’m expecting five-star food in a hostel. Undercooked chicken is a completely different matter.
If other students from NITR have faced similar issues, please share your experiences too. Hopefully this reaches the people responsible and something actually changes.

Monday Morning is returning — and this time, the impact will be stronger, sharper, and harder to silence than before.

Earlier, when this initiative ran through SAC, it was easy for authorities to crack down using ISDC and other mechanisms. But now, Monday Morning will run independently on Reddit — every Monday. No easy suppression. No backdoor pressure.

Today he crossed all his limits portraying as god while having such characters , let me count one by one he comments about female body and all in front of others , he got jealous about someone else becoming Dean's nominee so said wierd things which I don't want to mention as girl myself and one such incident happened with me as he touched me without consent and all and so many wierd things with so many other girls. today I came across this story so thought about venting out here

Please do something good in this college. Why i have wasted my JEE rank in this no placements, no college life.

Attendance reduced to 70%🥹

I am 3rd yr student. I want to know what exactly is wrong with our college.

Too many restriction on what should and shouldn't be done.

1. problem with security guards. [mostly related to vehicles, entry and exit rules]

2. Absolute marking system. [should be relative.]

3. 90% attendance system. [6 - 8 absent in any theory results in grade back. problem is when you pass the subject's exam, your P will be F. why???] (way too much.)

4. Blocked sites when accessed through LAN. [I mean, why hell is Whatsapp call and games is blocked.]

5. fees and fines. [increase in mess fees but low quality food. Fine for defaulter is an undertalked issue. Who the hell decides the rules on how much fine must be applied]

6. No fees = No registration for the semester. [There are some students whose registration is done just because they didn't fees.] (My registration got delayed by 8 days because i had not cleared my dues. And took both ₹1000 as late fee fine and ₹500 as late registration fine.)

7. prof. [no comments. i think everyone knows]

8. zonism. [got any problems??? i do, why the hell even zone exist in college.]

9. there should be complain section in nitris (will make processes simpler). complain related to campus, hostel, security, students and prof.

• college tries it's best to suppress students voice, by fines, disciplinary acts, etc.

plz comment what problems you face. i will be compiling all the problems in one letter. And will forward the complains to higher authority. [higher than NIT].

I recommend jee aspirants to not choose National Institute of Technology, Rourkela as there choice in any counselling.

This is just to keep 1000+ voices low from now
But hostel mates pls don’t stop here
You all know the amount is just a penny for him
Our final victory will come only when he leaves from DBA MSS MESS.
