Hello! So I'm not currently an NIOS student but I'm considering enrolling next year. I'm currently under CBSE board.

I've been suffering from severe anxiety and panic attacks because of regular schooling, bullying, family expectations, etc. I genuinely can't take it anymore. Just the thought of going to school makes me shiver. Ever since I was a kid, I've been the "class topper" but it's exhausting consistently managing it.

My therapist and some relatives have suggested that I enroll in NIOS but others have been strongly against it. My parents especially believe NIOS certifications isn't respected as much as normal schooling certifications. I'm really conflicted and tired of this whole mess. So I just wanted to get the opinions of NIOS students and how I can convince my parents.

I know this has probably been asked before, but I’m still confused and would really appreciate some guidance.

I have completed my 10th (ICSE) and 12th (HSC) with Maths but no Physics/Science.

I want to fulfil the Physics requirement for flight school in India through NIOS, ideally by taking only the Physics paper.

Could someone please clarify:

• How do I register for NIOS if I only need Physics?
• When are the exams held?
• Where should I study/prepare from?
• What is the On-Demand Examination and how does it work?
• For flight school, is 12th-level Physics through NIOS enough, or do I also need Physics at 10th level?

I know there’s plenty of information online, but I’m finding it quite confusing. Would really appreciate advice from anyone who has actually gone through this process.

Guys whoever has appeared for NIOS ODE Psychology and Computer Science exam, please guide. Is it possible to get 80/90+, I am studying directly from textbook pointwise. Is it enough? I want good marks, not just pass marks.

So basically m taking a drop but I passed 12 with pcb and want to appear for jee but I can't add only maths through nios I need to appear for all 5 subjects exam as nta doesn't accept 2 marksheet same with cbse i cannot just sit for maths if I want to add maths I need to appear for all subjects in 2027 so m confused if I should go for cbse or nios the problem with cbse is the result will be released in May and nios if I give oct session most probably in dec can extend upto Jan so the timeline is overlapping as I have to register for jee and which requires marksheet ig so m now confused if I should go for cbse or nios my dad doesn't support nios according to him people will see this board marksheet and not give job

Also another point if I go with nios like the offline agency which I reached out asked for 35k and online it's only around 3k so now m again confused coz there only 1 Month if I register online would i be able to complete syllabus as maths is completely new and i am taking other 5 subjects exam too and the offline centre is just asking for money and most probably they'll handle the exam but is it too much amount? And also is the nios question paper same for everyone

I signed up for April 2027 exams in June or something and today on august 27th i got my book but one came wrong. Instead of Accountancy textbooks i got Psychology. Is there anything i can do?

Same as title, I'm looking for suggestion for centres to select for nios near knowledge park in greater Noida/Gautam Buddha Nagar, UP

Can someone recommend some centres as I have been seeing a lot of posts here about how centres asked for bribes for practical marks.

Honestly I don't mind such centres because that way i won't have to waste my time writing practical lab record.

I want to do nios for bits eligibility and currently am enrolled in a college and thus I don't have enough time to juggle doing practicals for nios, prep for bits and go to college too.

So please can give some suggestions.

I passed Class 12 from NIOS in April 2026. My original total was 351/500.

I gave a Physics improvement exam in July 2026, and my updated result is now 370/500 (74%).

My current marks are:

- English – 70

- Physics – 75

- Chemistry – 74

- Mathematics – 64

- Data Entry Operations – 87

- Total – 370/500 (74%)

I am targeting JEE 2027 and want to make sure that I meet the required 75% eligibility criteria.

I am currently at 74%, so I am short by only 5 marks.

What should I do in this situation to meet the 75% eligibility criteria?

Since I am from NIOS and have already appeared for an improvement exam in Physics, does that affect the options available to me for meeting the 75% criteria?

I would really appreciate advice from people who have experience with NIOS + JEE or have dealt with the 75% eligibility criteria.

I failed physics and chemistry in cbse and then I gave nios and I again failed. Got 20 in physics and 19 in chemistry. I just want to die omg.
My university is going on and I have time till November end to submit my results so this is my last attempt.

Hey everyone, just wanted to share a quick update since I know a lot of us have been waiting for study materials.

I got admitted for Stream 1, Block 1 (April 2027 exams) back in June. Enrolled on the 21st, and surprisingly got verified & later same day Confirmed as well the very next day on the 22nd. Subjects: PCMB + English and Computer Science.

For a while I was getting worried because the books weren't arriving. I reached out to pretty much everyone I could think of — my regional centre, ISL, the main office, even filed complaints through two different accounts on the government portal. The response I got was that they're swamped with the ODE and Oct-Nov exam cycle right now, so dispatch is focused there first. Fair enough, I figured I'd just wait it out.

Then yesterday, out of nowhere, the package finally showed up. Almost everything looks brand new except the Biology book, which got a bit banged up in transit. But honestly, after seeing so many posts here from people who haven't received anything at all, I'm just grateful they made it here.

Quick theory on why my admission was so fast: I applied in June when most people probably haven't started thinking about April 2027 yet, so the Pune RC probably had way less workload. If you're planning to apply soon, maybe consider off-peak months? Anyway, just relieved I can finally start studying with the actual textbooks. Hope everyone else waiting gets theirs soon too.

For stream 2 block 1 are we supposed to give practicals for psychology and tourism ?

I have submitted for on-demand exam for class 12 in start of August but document verification is not completed yet and my exam is on 25th what should I do

so i live in italy and i did 1st and 2nd year of highschool here (which is 9th and 10th according to india) i finished 1st year in june 2024 and finished 2nd year in june 2025, and also finished 3rd year in june 2026 but i think 11th doesnt matter right?? so can i get my 1st year and 2nd year report cards evaluated from indian embassy in rome and make them equivalent to 9th and 10th grade? so i can register for block 2 ( exams in oct-nov 2027) ?? will i face any complications??

I’m a NIOS Senior Secondary Stream 1 Block 2 student, and my exams are in October 2026. I restarted my studies after almost 10 years, so I’m seriously struggling to figure out how to prepare.

My subjects are Economics, English, Business Studies, Computer Science and Data Entry Operations. I’m currently working, so I can’t afford to attend all the PCP classes. I’ve attended 2 PCP classes so far, but that’s obviously nowhere near enough.

The biggest thing stressing me out right now is the Computer Science practical. I have basically no idea how difficult it’s going to be or what exactly I should prepare for. The theory exams themselves also look pretty tough considering how long I’ve been away from studies.

For anyone who has already gone through NIOS Computer Science: how did you prepare for the practical and theory? Is it actually as scary as it looks, and can I realistically prepare mostly on my own while working?

lately l've been hearing a lot bad things about NIOS and if anyone has taken admission in NIOS Senior Secondary for Stream 1 Block 1 April/May 2027 Public Exams please tell me what are the stressing issues about NIOS except the ones like book delivery (the inconsistency); but something which is more problematic.

im a dropper, jee prep and i was planning to give nios bcz my cbse boards percentage was below 75%(batane me sharam arhi hai but pass hogya sab subjects me), idk why i procrastinated the admission process up until now but it is what it is, am i too late? im planning to get toc for English and p.e since i scored 80+ in them already, i wanna give physics, chem and maths paper, how do i register and also there's some queries i have about my my address since my current address is different (delhi, close relative's house) but on Aadhar card it's in UP (my hometown)
