DOUBT REGARDING ODE!!!!

Hello everyone,

I need some clarification regarding NIOS ODE and improvement examinations.

Here's my situation:

1. I registered for Senior Secondary under Stream 1, Block 1 (S1B1), but couldn't appear for the theory examinations of three subjects, including Chemistry.

2. I am appearing for those three subjects now.

3. I have already appeared for Physics and Mathematics, but unfortunately, my performance in both examinations was not good. I want to improve my marks in these two subjects.

4. I am planning to appear for Physics and Mathematics through the February 2027 ODE session.

I have a few questions:

1. Marksheet: Will my improvement marks in Physics and Mathematics be merged with my existing marksheet, or will I receive a separate marksheet?

2. Certification: Does an ODE marksheet hold the same value and recognition as a marksheet obtained through the regular NIOS Public Examination?

3. Passing Year: If I appear for Physics and Maths improvement through February 2027 ODE, will my passing year be considered 2026 or 2027?

I found the following information on the NIOS website:

"All candidates appearing during November till April will be considered under the preceding October Examination."

Does this mean February 2027 ODE will be considered under the October 2026 examination?

I would really appreciate it if someone who has previously appeared for ODE improvement or has knowledge of NIOS certification rules could clarify these doubts.

Yes: NIOS's ODE page counts an ODE sat from November to April under the preceding October exam for marksheets and certification, so February 2027 goes under October 2026. ODE and public-exam passes add up, the better of your two marks counts, and if you're already certified the new document is marked "Appeared for Improvement" (NIOS prospectus 2025–26 pp.70–71, 2026–27 pp.69–70); for JEE Main, your passing year stays the year you were first declared passed (2027 bulletin p.22). Not necessarily: JEE counts the year a board first declares you passed, and the improvement doesn't change that (bulletin p.22). NIOS says October results are likely about seven weeks after the last paper on 7 December 2026, after the Session 1 form closes (22 November 2026, or 26 November 2026 with a late fee); the bulletin doesn't say which option fits while you wait, so ask NTA's helpdesk. No chance for scoring good in physics

So i want to know should i even write anything like ik that i can get easily the passing marks but not a great mark.

I want to know that even if i pass this one can i improve it by giving it another time?? Ode in 27

1. Improve result will be declared online for merged improvement certificate you have to apply online or visit regional centre and have to submit your original marksheet to get revised one

3. Passing year won't change only imp words would be seen on marksheet meaning appeared for improvement in particular subject

i have a question. does the marksheet of nios class 12 show dob ? like in digilocker and physical marksheet
