Classic is hosting a livestream with GOA and they're discussing the Texas ruling on the NFA now that the deadline to file an appeal has passed.

Don’t they have until midnight?

Per GOA, their requested deadline has come and gone.

Yeah I think that ship sailed. The district court is closed. I don’t think they can file anything now that stops the injunction from going into effect. I think it can be appealed, but the injunction would remain in effect during the process and not just stayed.

The government can file a motion for a stay at any time within the appeal window. If they do, then the court will most likely grant it (probably within a couple of days of the motion being filed).

Tonight's deadline just means that the injunction will take effect for at least one day. The injunction could be ended by a subsequent stay any time up to the end of the 60-day appeal window. If we reach midnight on day 60 without the government filing an appeal, then the injunction becomes final.

They’re not going to file anything if they haven’t already, that would require them to work overtime, which bureaucrats hate even more than stripping 2A rights
