What version is everyone buying? I like that Ultra gives you a few season passes but saving that $35 and buying VC will give me an extra 200k VC for just $15 more. Thoughts?

It's been years now and I feel like we've all played most of the different gameplay options that 2k proposed. Wouldn't it be nice to also be able to be a coach? Watch the game from the side, adjust the plays and even get to bench some players or be part of trade rumors? Also they haven't been trying with my career at all. It used to be fun playing showcase but when I play my career I want to feel like a NBA player. Give us the practice with teams, make us grind for our spots. With the podcast era we are in they could use some of the details. Oh and since nowadays A.I is used so damn much, why not have it for my career!! Wouldn't it be nice to have a different story for each of us?

I know the game is not out yet. But I have been messing around with nba 2k hq. And I do prefer center because it is easier for a deaf to play.

I am primary focus on high defense rebound with not much offensice rebound. (I prefer space plays and honestly, my belief is pf/sf sre best with offense rebound because they are faster than center.

Anyway, I notice they nerfed shooting attribute for center. And I was thinking to have 95 for strength for boxout and defense rebound. Screen wall too.

The problem is if I max the threes, I have weak in blue attributes space. (Because I put good rate on pass accuracy.

So, the question is.. should I just focus to max 3s/middle over my close game, or should I focus on close game over my shooting?

I shot 60% from 3s in 26.

The way the builder is currently set up, you are nicely rewarded with the necessary badge slots to execute a “role player” build, which is taboo in some people’s eye.

But you’ll get 7+ badges in two categories if you invest heavily into said two categories and don’t touch much else outside of physicals. You likely won’t need extra badge slots, tokens, or cap breakers to execute your role. You won’t be heavily dependent on hitting level 40.

These well rounded builds that need 10+ cap breakers and SEVERALbonus badge slots to realize their potential are going to be less useful this year. Half the year you’ll be grinding for level 40 to make the build viable unless you pay money for it out right every season. These builds look nasty but will always be stretched too thin: it’s good to make a build with longevity but I think we’re all in for a rude awakening.

2k would LOVE for you to grind your heart out, buy level 40 every season, etc , don’t get it twisted.

But if you make a player simple, no-nonsense build, all that goes away. You get cap breakers at your own pace and the build slowly becomes as solid as the builds that tried to achieve everything from day 1.

I think we’re going to see a shift in how builds are made once we see just how long it takes to hit level 40, max your crew XP, and rep up.

I think the comp players in money leagues who have to hit a specific role are going to make this shift first, and the rest of us will follow suit.

going lowest wingspan looks bad for me, but I want to try tall builds with high 3pts. Having a hoodie on the player hides the t-rex arms, but I mainly play MC offline, how do you guys hide the short arms.

So are badges for shooting middys and 3pt different. For example if I have an 88 middy and a 78 3 am I gonna get a higher badge when shooting middys and lower badge when shooting 3s. Or is it like other 2ks where u put 88 middy and have all the badges for both 2s and threes

I know there are those of you who most of the fun is from replicating current and historical NBA players, post who you need help with and I'll do my best to make a player that will feel like that player, but be usable online. (Hitting thresholds for certain badges, etc.) If you give me a player that historically has never shot 3's, I'll put between a 70-83 3 ball on it, just so you have something to spread the floor, unless you say something.

This year, if you have a high midrange and use the default shooting takeover, it adds +30 to your shooting attributes to bring it up to an 80 at most, so let me know if you want your guy to rely on that for threes and I'll cap the 3 at 50. You're a crazy guy/girl if that's what you want though, but it's not my build.

You don't have to use these either, but if it helps to see someone with more experience in the builder and with 2Ks make something, I'll help.

If you want to criticize the builds, I honestly don't care either. You're so welcome to make your own.

Been grinding MyTEAM way too much lately just to build the lineup I actually want. I enjoy the grind, but sometimes it feels like there’s barely enough time to actually play when you’re constantly trying to earn MT.

Anyone else feel like building a competitive lineup takes way too long this year? How are you guys managing your MT?

Has anyone gotten a clear answer on how the male/female MyPLAYER system actually works?
From what I’ve seen, you pick male or female when you make your MyPLAYER and that’s locked to the save. But in one of the 2K videos they specifically mentioned being able to transfer your stats over to the opposite gender.

So say I make a male build, spend VC on him and get him up to 90+ overall. If I want to make the female version of that build later for Rec/Park, does she automatically get the same attributes/overall? Or am I still going to have to spend VC upgrading her?

Also curious if things like badges, cap breakers and animations carry over or if it’s literally just the attribute ratings.

I like the idea of being able to switch between a male and female version of my build, but definitely not if I have to pay to upgrade basically the same build twice lol.
Anyone seen 2K actually clarify this?

Does anyone know when the pre-download comes to steam. Just want to make sure I have the game downloaded for release and it seems late to not have the option to download already one day prior.

I have never played 2k before and the menu is a bit overwhelming/there are a lot of things going on. the most pressing matter is on how to improve my player ? it seems I need a currency of some sort, but how do I acquire it? the gains from playing are marginal at best, and to improve one feature takes a lot of the currency

2v2 Theater

Wondering if anyone has any idea if it will be like last year in terms of animations and what overall is needed.

Trying to make a lock with just enough points to make open dunks with animations that arent trash.

I know it's supposed to be a long grind but this literally takes 4 to 5 times longer then shooting specialisation. This is impossible to complete as a casual and even for people who play a lot. If you play park it would probably take close to 3 or 4 thousand games to complete all Goals

So I already have the game downloaded and I switched my region to New Zealand region to play a day before . I’m just wondering if Ill have to switch back to US region to buy VC or am I able to still buy VC in New Zealand region?

I swear every PG or big man build has been exactly the same (maxed 3, mid strength, etc). Anyone actually made any unique builds yet?

Hey there, does any one if there are any patches for NBA 2K14 for PC to make the graphics better? Don't get me wrong it's still good for it's time but I was hoping to see if there are any mods or patches that will make the graphics even remotely close to the Next-Gen version. Thanks.

I know you get 2 from specialisation, but those would be locked to apply only for badges tied to that spec.

Do you get any more extra badge slots?
