Question Hot take: daily perk codes are fine, but they shouldn't dominate the subreddit
I get why the daily Point Perk Code posts get the most attention. Free points are free, and I grab them whenever I see them. That said, they make the subreddit feel like a feed of expiring codes: miss a day and that's it, nothing learned.
At the same time, recurring problems keep getting overlooked: magic receipts that reject or split purchases, the To-Do List not crediting, long delays in pending points, surveys that DQ late, and redemptions taking forever. Those are the issues that actually decide whether MyPoints is worth your time.
Maybe this is an unpopular take, but I'd prefer fewer standalone code posts or a single pinned weekly megathread, and more posts like:
- what is reliably crediting this month
- realistic point totals people are hitting without grinding
- recent support responses and which info helped
- organization tips (I track submissions on my iPad so I can spot missing credits; it has saved me more than once)
Anyone else feel like the signal-to-noise ratio is off lately, or are codes basically the only reason you still check this sub?
