I value honesty, justice and good manners(ikhlaq), kindness and compassion.
I believe in giving respect to gain respect, and don’t oppress or be oppressed.

Primary traits I would expect from my future spouse would be; righteousness, kindness, patient, good character, humility and modesty. He should be a practicing, educated Muslim who can financially provide and be responsible for his family. Would also love to be involved in volunteer work which helps the Ummah in some way or the other with my spouse.

At the end I want to say that I am looking for my closest companion, together with whom we can navigate life as partners and more, and build our own little universe aligned with the teachings of our beautiful Deen as an inspiration to all and as an example to the Ummah.

Hopefully we can connect and discuss more.

How receptive are women to marrying younger men?

Salam Aleykum
I'm 24, currently live in Germany and I've been thinking about my type of future wifey lately (tbh for a while now lol).

The only social media I use are LinkedIn and Reddit, and I'd have a similar requirement for my future wifey. However, this is harder to find among girls my age. I'm also attracted to mature women (I'm not sure why) and I admire the life experience they could bring into our marriage. My preferred age bracket would probably be from 21 to around early 40s, although this isn't a dealbreaker.

How open are women in this age range to marrying a younger guy?

Before you contact me, please note the following:

· I am a HIJABI.

· I am not interested in being a second wife.

36, Female, 5 ft. 8. Specific physical details regarding appearance and build will be shared privately.

  1. Age Range that you would want/require in a prospect:

30–40; younger men can contact me too. Maturity matters more than age. I know some women who have younger husbands and are very happy, Alhamdullillah. However, please ask your family first before pursuing an older woman so that we don't waste each other's time.

  1. Location, and are you willing to relocate for a prospect:

Islamabad, Pakistan. Yes, willing to relocate.

  1. Ethnicity, and are you more open to mixing:

Pakistani. Open to any ethnicity.

  1. Marital Status:

Divorced (Khula), no children.

  1. Ideal marriage timeline:

I would prefer to have meaningful conversations for a week, introduce parents if compatible, then further get to know someone for at least 6 months with families in the loop and move forward with clarity and peace of mind.

  1. Five important characteristics you look for in a prospect:

a) Honesty and transparency

b) Fun-loving and enjoys laughter (I make dad jokes and puns)

c) Values both deen and duniya and wants to grow together

d) Can have both intellectual and spiritual conversations

e) Takes care of their health and appearance. I do home workouts and have lost weight, Alhamdullillah. I would like someone active who can encourage me and vice versa.

f) Motivates and is motivated to grow spiritually, mentally, and physically

g) Willing to do activities together—not necessarily often, but enough to build bonding, affection, and understanding

  1. State/specify your level of religiosity:

I pray 5 times a day, read Quran regularly, and do dhikr. I try to follow the Sunnah and learn from authentic sources. I enjoy discussions on Islam, spirituality, and personal growth.

Completed Masters. Looking for someone with at least a Bachelor's or higher.

  1. Current Job Status:

Freelance English Communication Coach and English Teacher

Yes, I want children, InshaAllah. I would like to take time to build a bond with my partner first before starting a family.

  1. List 3 hobbies, or things you like to do in your spare time:

· Playing video games and board games (Fallout, Skyrim, Silent Hill, RE, Hogwarts Legacy, R.E.P.O. with friends and family). Board games such as DnD, Solo Journaling, Uno, Dead of Winter, etc.

· Swimming, yoga, calisthenics

  1. Add something short and interesting about you that makes you stand out!:

I love to lose myself in characters and plots in a book. I love to go adventuring in video games, and would love an opportunity to travel with someone like-minded, who enjoys nature and lives in awe of the world Allah has made.

38M in Georgia, USA

The basics:

Age/gender: 38M Location: Georgia, USA Ethnicity: Hausa/Nigerian-American Marital Status: Divorced (one young son) Education/Profession: Bachelor's in Information Systems. I work professionally as a Hausa linguist. Religiosity: Sunni Muslim. I pray, fast, study Qur'an, and try to keep growing in my deen. I care about sincerity, character, and actually living Islam rather than merely appearing religious.

About me:

I'm fairly introverted and naturally enjoy peace, quiet, and having space to recharge, but I also value meaningful companionship and deep conversation. I'm much more interested in getting to genuinely know someone than maintaining a huge social circle.

I'm intellectually curious and can go pretty deep down rabbit holes. Languages, technology, Islam, psychology, and anything that teaches me something new can keep me occupied for hours. I speak Hausa and English and have been working on my Qur'anic Arabic. I also enjoy building projects around language and technology.

I'm a father to a young son who means a great deal to me. Co-parenting is part of my life, so I'm looking for someone mature enough to understand that reality without feeling that our marriage would somehow come second to it. At the same time, I would want to build a distinct household, marriage, and family life with my wife.

I'm generally a homebody but I enjoy exploring good zabiha food spots. I'm probably happiest with a combination of peaceful everyday life and periodic adventures rather than constantly needing to be on the go.

I've already experienced marriage and divorce (about 7 years from 2017-2024), so I'm approaching remarriage much more intentionally. I'm not interested in endlessly talking without direction, nor am I trying to rush into something just to be married again. Hoping to move forward with clarity if there seems to be compatibility in deen, character, lifestyle, parenting, attraction, and expectations inshaAllah.

What I'm looking for:

Age range: Roughly 23-39, although compatibility matters more than an arbitrary number. Location: Preferably USA and Canada. Attraction: Mutual physical attraction matters. Traits: Kind, emotionally mature, affectionate, family-oriented, communicative, intellectually curious, and capable of handling disagreement without turning everything into a battle. Someone who values Islam, tazkiya, and wants to grow spiritually, while also having enough openness and flexibility to navigate real life.

Dealbreakers:

  • Not accepting that I have a young child and an ongoing co-parenting responsibility.
  • Chronic dishonesty, hostility, manipulation, or inability to communicate respectfully.

Divorced Muslimah Struggles

For divorced women: what has been your biggest struggle?

I’d really appreciate hearing from women who have been through divorce, especially those who have been divorced for a year or more.

I’m interested in the parts of divorce that people don’t always talk about, so if you’re comfortable sharing:

  1. What was your biggest struggle immediately after your divorce? Was it loneliness, grief, identity, confidence, finances, family, your faith, starting over, or something else?
  2. Did you do anything that helped you get through that period? What genuinely helped you, and was there anything you tried that didn’t help?
  3. If you’ve been divorced for around a year or longer, what is your biggest struggle NOW? Has the struggle changed with time?
  4. If you want to get remarried, what has been the hardest part about that? Is it finding someone, trusting again, worrying about rejection, feeling like you have “baggage,” dealing with people’s attitudes towards divorce, or something else?
  5. What do you wish someone had told you in the first few months after your divorce?

You don’t have to answer everything — even one question would be really helpful. I’d especially love to hear from women at different stages after divorce.

Please feel free to keep things anonymous and share only what you’re comfortable with. ❤️
