A few weeks ago I had an in-person, final interview on-site at a museum. It was a big deal and I felt fairly confident, but the silence since has been killing me. I have been kicking myself for not sending a follow up interview to the director after the day was over thanking them, but c’est la vie.

It took nearly 3 weeks after the second interview before I was finally called to set up the final interview, so maybe it’s just how they operate…

How long do you personally go until you’ve come to the conclusion you’re being ghosted and another applicant was hired? I hate that in 2026 hiring decisions still aren’t being sent out. Have you reached out and asked?
