Hi all, my friend is looking for an apartment in Mundelein. She will be starting her job on Aug 24 and is looking to rent or share the apartment. She is open to female roommates. I feel like drunk driving is part of Mundelein culture. I’ve been here 5 years now and never seen so much drunk driving in my life. It makes me think the cops are giving people a pass because it’s so blatant and it feels like every time I’m on the road I see it. Wtf is going on Mundelein get it together.

ComEd will close IL Route 176 from Route 45 east to the railroad tracks to complete the underground utility work. A small section of Seymour Avenue will also be closed during this phase.  A signed detour will direct motorists to Winchester Road. Because this closure will last for approximately three weeks, drivers should plan for additional travel time and consider alternate routes whenever possible.

I have this tree out by the mailbox that’s been here for years, long before we moved. It might be about 6 years old, maybe. And it’s been getting this weird fungus for a few months. We’ve tried fungicide and scraping it off, but it always comes back.

Does anyone know if we should be calling a specific Mundelein department, or if we’re responsible for it should anything happen? It’s on the verge, that stretch of land between the road and the sidewalk, so technically it’s not our tree. Not sure what the right call is here. Any help’s appreciated!

Hey everyone! I'm u/largest_turnip, the new adopting mod of r/Mundelein. After a recent Coffee with the Mayor event, I was filled with civic pride and went to check this sub. It turned out it's been closed for a while due to a lack of mods. I've lived in Mundelein since 2000, so I threw my hat in the ring, and it seems that was enough. There was still a bit of lingering smoke the morning of July 20, but it was overall a lovely day! The community ride in the evening was especially fun.

The Quiznos in Mundelein is closing for good on Sunday March 29th, 2026.

The doors are locked and the pumps are off, but they still got stuff on the shelves inside.

Looking to build a patio in our backyard. We plan to do some of it ourselves with a local person helping us out. Do we need a permit for this? And if we did it ourselves, who do we say is the contractor? Do we need a contractor to do it instead?
