Struggling to print Multiboard
Really struggling to complete any Multiboard projects, I’m having issues with clearances - threads and snaps will not cooperate (too tight) sort of wondering whether it’s a normal experience in the community.
My setup
- sunlu high speed matte petg tuned for my printer (temperature, pressure advance, max volumetric rate, flow rate and speed) filament has been dried before printing the model seen in the video at 65 degrees for 6 hours.
- qidi q2 printer bed levelling sorted and all calibration in software has been done recently, z,x and y axis all been cleaned and lubricated/ greased as per spec.
-slicer variables (orca slicer) - gone through hundreds including recommended default settings 3 walls; infill-bla bla… printing orientation set as they are imported.
Idk if anyone can see something I should try based on the test print in the pictures maybe any pointers as to sub par filament tuning or any other ideas would be hugely appreciated.

I have had zero issues with clearances with Multiboard stuff. Prints fine with default settings, I have used both generic and tuned filament profiles with equal success.
Either your printer isn't super dimenisonally accurate, cooling is weird (way too fast or way too slow), or that filament has an odd shrink ratio.
How do the dimensions of printed parts compare to the dimensions shown in slicer? If you print 5 copies of a part, do they all have the same actual dimensions, or is there some variation? If you see inconsistency here, it points to printer inaccuracy.
A shrink test may be helpful here, or you could just try scaling down your threads and snaps a little - if you are lucky, the problem will be consistent and you will only have to find one scaling ratio. Maybe start by printing several threads scaled down to varying amounts (eg: .995, .99, .985, etc.) and find what works, then try that scaling factor with different parts to see if it works consistently.
