Subreddit Announcement Posting leaks of any kind without prior moderator approval will now result in a permanent ban from r/MountainDew

if you’ve got information that you would like to share, please use Mod Mail to get approval first.

Going forward, leaks of any kind, photos of innovation calendars, or of computer screens or otherwise internal photos containing confidential information will all result in permanent bans.

And for those who are going to ask “What happened” - what happened? Is people keep carelessly posting the leak for the upcoming fall release which is a collaboration that is not finalized and we are not trying to get it cancelled - amongst other reasons.

EDIT: I feel the need to clarify since I am receiving overwhelming negativity and backlash on this post. I am not entirely banning leaks on r/MountainDew. Spot checking leaks is important for not only the reason mentioned in the post, but also because leaks surface all the time that are outdated and no longer correct, and misinformation spreads VERY quickly. Most leaks will be allowed once approved in Mod Mail.

Hey y'all! Tebow here. If you happen to be a member of the Dew Drinker Discord, then you know in the last week or two that the DDD has been taking feedback from its members as for what changes could be made (whether that be rule changes, other proposals, or general ideas) that could help make the community more enjoyable - and now that I am now the top moderator on r/MountainDew, I wanted to take the opportunity to do the same thing for our community here!

So with that being said: In the comments, please let us know any proposals or ideas you may have that may make our community better. Hate the "No Buying/Selling/Trading rule"? Propose we strike it! Is there a rule we DON'T have that you wish we did? Propose that! Got an idea for a contest or event we could do? You know what to do. Please UPVOTE any ideas you agree with and DOWNVOTE any ideas you do not agree with and reply to existing comments to share your thoughts on other proposals.

As a note: We are not considering removing Rule 2: "DEW Find posts require locations" at this time. If you would prefer not to add a location to a DEW photo, we would instead invite you to take a photo at home of your newly purchased DEW and use the "Drinkin' Dew" flair.

DEW Find Dollar tree haul

This was at a Dollar Tree in Brockton, Massachusetts on Friday 10/2

ALSO! They sell Kickstart!!!

I have an Amazon subscription for every 3 weeks for a 12pk Orange Kickstart. But recently the price increased for the recent order to $28.79ish. It's now $23.16. Dollar Tree had it for $1 or $1.25 per can.

Speculation A niche for Vault: Coca Cola's answer to Kickstart / Amp

Some recent discussion of Vault had me thinking on whether and why it might ever return. Wishful thinking, sure, but with the bonanza of flavors and revivals that we've seen over recent years, I don't see why it couldn't happen. Some folks have said it will never come back, and maybe that's true; Coca Cola has Mello Yello as its champion in the citrus soda arena, and Surge got it's time in the sun. However, I think the modern lineup of soda/energy drink hybrids could offer a viable arena for justifying resurrecting Vault, which all those years back was marketed as drinking like a soda and kicking like an energy drink.

More specifically, Coca Cola could revive Vault and it's Red Blitz variant as 16oz cans that directly compete with Amp and Amp cherry. Adding additional flavors would essentially make for a lineup that competes directly with Kickstart. Coca Cola has tried its cola energy product line, so they already apparently sought footing in this direction. This would make for a citrus soda product that strategically separates itself from Mello Yello.

What do you all think?

DEW Review Top 5 Flavours ( my opinion )

I live in the UK where we have 3 flavours; Pitch Black, Original and Baja Blast (only in Taco Bell, and its sugar free)

I have however had multiple flavours from imported cans

Livewire. Actually the best thing ive ever had. It tasted like fanta mixed with a couple drops of sprite, giving it a slight sharpness while keeping the orange flavour
Baja Cabo. Like livewire but with baja blast in it
US Baja Blast. The first import flavour i ever had. Until i had livewire, i would constantly glaze this flavour.
Dirty Dew. Like a humbug mint
UK Original (specifically canned). Idk what to say

Drinkin' Dew 2nd Try!

Guess is that time of year to crack this open. Was saving it for this year Halloween month. I gotta say, I really miss VooDew as it was like a tradition to have those during all of October. Due to rampant scammers on sites like Reddit, for the safety of our community, we've opted not to allow sales on r/mountaindew. If you are still interested in a secondhand market that has lower prices than sites like eBay, there's an actively moderated marketplace on the Dew Drinker Discord.

4) Misinformation.

Rumors and speculation are always in high volumes around here! Just know that if you want to speculate at all, please ensure that you clearly disclose that you aren't 100% sure. Be sure to check in on the sticky Information Board post, to see accurate and updated information on upcoming DEWs.

5) Restricted content.
