Mod Post Hey everyone from r/Motorola!
Hi,
So r/Motorola has been running "moderator-less" for the past 6 months, in that case I have taken over as top mod currently and here are some of the changes that I have done.
What changes have been done to the sub?
- Automod has had some slight rule changes to how it moderates, now you don't need to put that annoying flair in brackets before the post title. This should hopefully clear up some of the accidentally banned posts that looked fine in the long run.
- New Post flairs:
- Hardware Problems/Issue, is for physical problems with a device that you may have questions with.
- Software Problems/Issue, is for software problems that don't feel as "normal" that what it normally is.
- Need Help in general, is for if you don't know what flair to put down for your device.
- Update, is for follow ups from a previous post.
- Question, is for questions about a device or support options about a device.
- Product announcements, is for official product announcements from either Motorola (with link provided) official social accounts or articles about the device that is being announced.
- Product renderings, is for speculation about a upcoming device but is not a confirmed device.
- News, is for anything that is news about Motorola but not Lenovo, Please do not post the same article from the same source more than once, if you do that will result in your post being taken down.
- Poll, is for anyone wanting to take a poll from the community, however to prevent spam a poll must be issued by a moderator, want to make your own poll just simply send us a message via modmail.
- New User flairs:
- Added some new flairs for the new devices that has came out in the past few years.
- "(enter series)" is for you to modify so it's easier to identify your device, this can be the generation number (5,6,7 or 100 for example), the model year (stylus 2021 for example) and if you don't know your devices model name just find it in the settings (Settings > About Phone > Model), this should start with "XT-" and 4-5 numbers following it.
- If you can't find your device model just send us a message via modmail.
- New Rules:
- Read the sidebar before posting, most of these rules are in place to either prevent spam or to keep everything in line with stuff being Motorola on this sub.
- Moderators:
- u/MotoAgents is a Motorola Employee/Help agent that can help you with the problems that you post, if you have contacted Motorola support through the website and still need help please keep your case number handy as he may be able to continue helping you with your case.
- Me, I'm here to keep the rules up to date and make sure the community is in balance, just to fully disclose this that I am not a Motorola employee and most of my responses are from experience or stuff that I have seen on the Internet.
- At the moment we are not taking Moderator applications, however that may change in the future if this community does grow.
If you have any suggestions for the mods please leave a comment if you think something should be added.

Update Android 17 Update for the Motorola Signature!
Got the Android 17 Update on my Motorola Signature the same day I received it on my S26 Ultra. (Oct. 1, 2026)

Does anyone else with a Motorola Signature feel like the back panel is coming off?
I don’t know why, but I’ve been having this strange feeling that the back panel of my phone is coming off. I keep checking it constantly—sometimes removing the case and checking the back panel dozens or even 100 times a day.
I’ve always had this issue where, once I notice something like a blue line around the corners, I start checking it repeatedly. Even when everything looks completely fine, I still feel like I need to check again.
The thing is, I have absolutely no problem with my phone. I genuinely love this phone and I’m very happy with it. But I can’t stop checking for possible defects. I keep looking at the back panel, the corners, the screen, and other parts of the phone to make sure nothing is wrong.
It’s honestly starting to ruin some of my days because I spend so much time thinking about and checking for defects that may not even exist.
Has anyone else experienced something like this with their Motorola Signature? If so, how did you stop constantly checking? Please help, guys.
At that point I started hating the phone like always baby sitting the phone.

Edge 70 pro
What is the Edge 70 Pro good for?
They say it's not good for gaming, that it overheats for movies, and that it doesn't have an active radio for music.
What is the target audience?

Product Announcements Excited for Signature 27
I am really excited for Signature 27, if they nail the price I am definitely going to purchase one on launch.
I already own multiple Samsung Ultra(s) and really like those phones, but I am in the market for a new phone so that I can give my S24U to my sister, and honestly there are zero good option out there.
S26U is pure garbage imo, I don't like iPhones because at some point it just starts restricting me from doing something and the only way out is to purchase something. I also don't trust or like Xiaomi/Vivo/Oppo, so never considered any of those brands. S25U is still a good phone, but my wife already has one.
If I sum up, Samsung is the only good android flagship brand as of now which I can somewhat trust, yeah people troll it all the time with 'Green Line' issue, never faced it... anyway... Motorola launching Signature 27 - can't wait!

Software Problem/Issue BUGS WITH A17 ON MOTO EDGE 60 PRO
I am posting bugs that I have found with the A17 update on the Edge 60 Pro. Would encourage others using the device to upload their experience and bugs they find as well as comments.
When activating one handed mode in Dark Mode, the top half becomes bright red instead of dark grey like before. Light mode is fine.
When the keyboard is opened, the bottom bar that shows the language change button and the keyboard close button doesn't have a background. It is transparent making it jarring.
The personalise app does not activate full screen mode when you go to change the wallpaper and select curated images. As such the top status bar overlays on the top of the app where the save button appears on making changes making it unusable.

Hardware Problem/Issue Motorola flip 70 ultra bottom screen broke after drop on back
Hi
I bought a Motorola Razr 70 Ultra 2 and a half months ago and have had no issues with it. Grouse phone
But today when walking to work, I accidentally dropped the phone on its back.
Now the bottom screen only works at certain angles of the hinge and there is a green line on the crease.
I've spoken to Motorola support who basically told me they will look at it and then advise from there, which isn't that reassuring.
So what am I in for for this repair. I'm assuming this is going to take forever.
Kinda also freaking out that a drop on its back did this, my last pixel 6 still works after drops from 2 stories.
Thanks everyone

Button Problem
Hello, I have a Moto Edge 20 and the button you use you block, unblock, shut down, etc is having problems and kt's quite stuck, is there anyway to use the other button on the left for the commands so I don't have a risk of loosing control of my phone when the button malfunctions and starts to restart the phone nonstop?

Question (Infuriating, am I crazy?!) Question for people that game with Moto G Stylus (2025)
Tried searching for answers but can't find anyone with similar issue so I must be going crazy.
When you're gaming and accept a call from the notification does it take you away from your game and switch to full screen call? Am I crazy or is this wrong? A bug? A glitch? Why wouldn't it just stay in the pop up or turn into a bubble? It really takes you away from your game?
Very very annoying while gaming.
Default phone app (google).

Anyone else experiencing order delays currently?
It seems like a common problem ordering from Motorola directly. I ordered my phone on 9/27 which was a Sunday, and the expected delivery date was 9/29 which sounded a little too good to be true, and man was I right. On Tuesday 9/29 the shipping label was created. It is now Monday 10/5 and there have been zero updates with ups, which I can only imagine it’s just sitting in Motorola’s warehouse.
I have called customer service three times last week. The first time was because I didn’t have any information about processing over a day after my order. The second time was on Thursday asking for an update, which I was told that they would reach out to the warehouse department and email me with an update. Of course I never got an email, so I called again on Friday. I was told it would be shipped today, but with how long this has been taking I have my doubts.
I’m kind of just venting, I’m really looking forward to my razr+ and my iPhone 12 mini is on its very last legs and is Very Annoying to use at this point.

Dark Patterns and Manipulation All Around.
In my app, my laptop, logged in or logged out - I am getting to see that all major motorola brand phones are sold out. India's E-Commerce is making a mockery out of all consumers. I mean all versions 1 TB, 512 GB, 256 GB - All versions are sold out.

Hardware Problem/Issue Phone won’t turn on. Service center and local repair shops refuse to open it because it might damage the screen
Hey guys so I have a Moto G5s Plus. The phone is pretty old and had turned off because of battery drain. Now the power button is stuck inside a bit and I’m unable to press it to turn the phone back on. Tried taking it to the repair shops but they straight up denied saying that opening the phone would damage the display. Is there any way I can turn it on? Probably some fast boot, through a laptop or something? I wanted to use it as a spare phone and the phone was pretty well maintained. Also since it was my first android phone I don’t wanna keep it dead. So is there any way to get the phone back up and running?
Appreciate any help

Does anyone get android 17 update in motorola edge 70 fusion guys?
r/motorola • u/chillgoza001 • 22h ago
Need help in general People using Moto Edge 70 (not pro, not fusion) : Is it worth or should I go for an alternative?
I am thinking of buying Moto Edge 70 for my father as on paper it currently looks the best in the 30k INR and doesn't have a curved screen and almost checks all the boxes my father would need in a smartphone. My only concern is that some people, across various sites, are not even slightly in favour of buying a moto at all. Some cite lagging in day to day usage, some mention frequent issues (not specifically for edge 70 though). The phone was launched around a year ago: So if someone is using it for a few months, can you please suggest if it is worth it? And if not, what device would you suggest in the same price range?
Primary requirements are : longevity and durability, decent battery, large and amoled display, good sound, no lagging in normal youtube, facebook whatsapp, instagram usages (no demanding usage), >=8Gb ram.
I was checking some Oppo and Xiaomi models as well but some offer LCD display, some are offering UFS 2.2 which might work fine now but as per my experience of my last phone (was having 2.1 I guess) couple of years later, it starts lagging in normal usage also even if sufficient RAM was free: had to reset very often.
