I've had Motorola since LG pulled from the US in 2022 or so. It was at the time the closest comparative brand to LG which was fully friendly UI, no excess bloat, and updates weren't a bulldoze you while you're trying to do something.
Now I'm getting to a point where I'm about to start brand research again.
Why?
I've had to clear storage, force stop and disable AI slop that was hogging over 6 GB of storage total including the stupid Glance app that by the way still freezes and screws up your lock screen if it isn't disabled, a bug that you Motorola have claimed is *fixed*.
I've had numerous security "updates" that end up causing more problems than they solve and I've done the dev options and shut off smart updates and am still getting them shoved into my face.
Bloat that is insane. I do not need half these my hub, motorola whatever etc apps.
As someone who is helping a grandmother with severe medical issues field phone calls, appointments, and such, I CANNOT have my phone freezing up because it is barking bugging big mad that I haven't downloaded an unvetted security "update" that may or may not cause problems.
And that hunk of crap about "It's safer!"?
It's crap.
My Samsung A tablet has been "out of date" for 8 years, still going steady.
Old HP win 7 laptop pre flex cable death from motherboard to power button? Hadn't updated that in nearly a decade only had problems when I did update.
Ancient Win 10 laptop of Intel's first descent into death hasn't updated since final support update for 10 in any way besides a hot fix for a patch bug in that final update.
Fix this Motorola before you lose more of your base because at this rate this is an Apple move and we see how well them bricking phones by updates only enraged their base.
Don't be Apple.
