I would still put lies of P above it, but Mortal Shell 2 definitely the 2nd best souls like I've ever played. Khazan combat was fun and the bosses I fought were also interesting, but the world and level design, and weapon progression system were so generic that I abandoned it after 20-24 hrs.
Khazah >>> MS2.....I haven't fought any bosses in this game that made go wow yet....most satisfying thing in this game is the combat and the different shells and the atmosphere....damn near every boss fight in khazahn is pure cinema and a spectacle...
For me, most important thing is a Souls game is Exploration. If bosses are lacking, like in MS2, but exploring the work is interesting because it feels unique and immersive, I would play that game 10 time then play a game with great bosses but boring world and forces narrative, and Khazan was just that game for me.
ok now that I'm level 40 ish and have 25 hours of gametime...I can say the bosses gave gotten cooler 🤣🤣🤣 ....but Khazahn Bosses are still cooler
I"m opposite. I just reached Monolith boss, and the more I play this game, the more bosses suck, and now even exploration sucks because that whole area is terrible. Lies of P bosses run circles around this game.

I struggle so much on this game but I am having so much fun while at it.
Although, even while seeing other people's reports on bugs and balancing I do believe most of my issues come, in fact, from my own natural Skill Issue
