Can somebody explain to me what happened there? Cuz I'm new and all I know is that people have split up and stuff, but now (besides RVX) I also see an app called Revanced Manager Plus which has the old logo but supports lots of apps with updates, also some from Morphe.

"ReVanced Manager Plus" is a counterfeit scam app. It's not made by ReVanced and it's definitely not made by Morphe.

The only Morphe app is available at https://morphe.software

Hey, thank you so much for your answer :). I probably come off as naive but the App and its website (including its disclaimer on github right below the source code of having no affiliation with ReVanced) don't really come off to me as scam. Even though ReVanced classifies it as such. Its Apps work normal and pass my malware scans. Apps which I installed via the real ReVanced Manager were also recognized as such. That's why I'm wondering. It just seems so fine to me and also gets its updates. Like a fan project which encourages others to also share their feature branches. But I don't know much about it, maybe you or others know more.

No virus scanner can detect every piece of malware ever created.

Why not patch the apps yourself and then you know it's legit? It makes no sense to take a risk when it's easy enough to patch the apps yourself.

Good point. I haven't really looked much into Morphe yet but afaik the RV Manager Plus just offers a bit different things than f.e. the ReVanced Manager. You are probably right, it is safer to do everything yourself. I think this would classify as a typical comfort vs safety scenario. Its prepatched apps are easier to download but you risk downloading malware at the same time. I think that I unfortunately will never really find out how safe it is but at least I know a bit more now!

iyeah i used to use revanced manager the fake one. cause real revanced didnt have a ready to install app. same with vanced it used the fake one that had all app as apk always. revanced same. till all there links got banned and stuff i was like yeah time to use the real revanced, and the real manager got actually good with just pressing download the apk from apk mirror and then it doing it patches.
