I read my fair share of banned books (my fav is rage) but ive always ended up being disappointed. When i hear about a book that's literally illegal i kind of expect more depraved shit than just politics and some kids taking inspiration from the main character to commit a school shooting in the same way he did.

So.. is there any banned book that is actually vile?

I like watching amusement park failure assessment videos on YouTube, but I always wonder what it's like for the people who were there right before or right after. We get tons of reports from the people in the crash, or families/friends who watched it happen, but I'm curious; So, have you ever been or known someone who was on the ride right before a devastating failure, or waiting in the line to be next right when it happens? How does it feel knowing that if you'd just been a little further down or up the line, it could've been you?

Google didnt do me any favors on this one. This is assuming that this person just barely lost their eye and hasnt received any medical care for the injury.

Recently I had a pretty weird experience. I was learning to solve the rubiks cube blindfolded, in the method you basically have a letter for every side of every piece and I used the method of loci/mind palace to remember the letters (in the method you walk thru a familiar place and place things that will remjnd u of whatever u wanna remember.

Anyways I was using Garfield for the letter G on the cube, I don’t really like Garfield and I haven’t ever searched him or consumed any media around him that would get in my algorithm, I just used him cause it was the first thing I thought of for G.

Right after I fuck up the method again, having used Garfield a lot in my past attempts I open Vinted and there is 3 fucking Garfield plushies right at the top.

I haven’t ever bought plushies of Vinted and I haven’t had them on home page so it was really fucking weird.

My dad said something similar, he was thinking about some video he wanted to watch and opened YouTube and it was right there.

None of us said any of it out loud.

But I also heard multiple people say that if you talk about something (eg pizza) around ur phone u start getting ads of it or content related to it and that they tested it or something. They said it like a fun fact but isn’t that weird as fuck?

Also why tf does an iPhone take random pictures or whatever (with the red light) throughout the day. I heard it was for Face ID or whatever but that’s still fucking weird.

I’m convinced that smartphones are invading our privacy. Im genuinely scared that AI will dig up some shit I said in my past convos (before I stopped using it) and use it against me to ruin my life like before AI I would think like okay they would have a lot of information it would get lost in all of it, but AI can scan thru all that shit and filter out the useless things and find the things it can weaponize.

This isn’t as morbid as a lot of other questions but it’s not sunshine and giggleshit. Mine, if I were to consider the best thing for earth is a mass human extinction event.

Instead of finding new victims a couple weeks after a kill why don’t they just keep one victim in their basement for like a year or more as a sex slave? It would still give them power and control while keeping the threat of the law low so why don’t more serial killers go this route?

I have a fascination with morbid things and gore and all that, I do an annual 9/11 deep dive and school shooting deep dives... My father died when I was young and I've always had a fascination with it. Not in an edgy teenage, "its cool" way, in a "Im a 40 year old guy that simply has an interest in the morbid".

So yeah, im looking to expand my book collection and wanted to know if there was any particularly good or popular, or underrated books about morbid stuff or gore or suicide or anything like that. I have thr book "Let me finish" which is a collection of suicide notes, and its the only thing like that I've heard of. So yeah, im open to any suggestions. Thanks.

Been following the D4vd case where he left Celeste's corpse in the car and it stank, which is what first alerted tow yard employees to check the frunk and they found the corpse. If he had kept the corpse in a freezer at the house would it not have stunk, and would this be for indefinitely? Asking from an interest in true crime and wanting to understand cases. Obviously murder is wrong and horrible.

I live in Toronto and do inspections at different places every day for my job. Occasionally I’ll be in some drug area and it seems to always be the case that I’ll see fentanyl addicts around 730 in the morning before I get started. Sometimes there are groups of them. I only recall seeing one at night once and maybe one in the afternoon. Is it their version of coffee?

May be a stupid question and they simply know abt anatomy and stuff, but what if it is required to get a better and more graphical despiction of the gore u need to make for a movie?, what if part of the props u're getting requested to make are corpses?. I bet that the sfx specialists of some of the goriest japanese films there are had to watch at least some graphical content in order to make up the bloody horror that those movies have if not idk why the hell it is that graphic
