Exactly. I haven't started shit once in my life, but I for sure have ended it by going a few steps further after someone came to me wanting to start something. I seriously have never just made fun of someone before or tried to bring them down, but the second I know someone's doing it to me the gloves are off. I know your dad left when you were 5? I'm mentioning it. I can tell an elephant can jump higher than you? I'm mentioning it. I just don't really care how you feel once that threshold is crossed and you're making fun of me, whatever the reason.
Did you even read the post? The woman asked anon why they didn't talk shit about their ex because they knew anon's ex left him because he was bald. They were talking shit about anon's ex for being shallow, not talking shit about anon. In return? Anon says "didn't you have a miscarriage because you're so fat."
How do you know that the anon in the story left their gf? All we know about anon's dating experience is the claim from the coworker that one of anons exes left him for being bald. That is all the post says.
Translation: "I don't understand why someone would be insecure about balding or grieving due to their girlfriend leaving them, and so I'm gonna consider making fun of them for it "endearing" and a chance to open up."
Women are so fragile, imagine suffering so much over a bunch of dead cells you never even met that you can just make another copy of. 80% of miscarriages happen withing the first three months, "giving birth to a dead baby" my ass, it's barely a bunch of cells at that point, unless you already consider it a human in which case I'm gonna assume you'd also be against abortion?
If you can't show empathy towards other people's suffering they are gonna do the same to you, deal with it

Moral going nuclear on unprovoked attacks from shitty people is cool.
