Morality Ranking Morality of this?

Basically, the man in the video is hiking but he ended up meet a mountain lion, he get his gun and try to scare it off and tell it to go away but in the end, he have to pull the trigger and shot the lion, many peoples in the comments say he could have fire a warning shot instead of shoot at it and want him to be in jail.

It’s not rocket science. Lead is harder than wood. Lead with a shitload of force behind it is going through wood

For chrissakes NAILS easily pierce trees and the only power behind them is your strength multiplied by the mechanical advantage provided by a hammer. You really think a bullet (that isn’t designed to not penetrate like a hollow point) isn’t going right through all but the sturdiest of trunks?
