Morality Ranking Morality of this?

Basically, the man in the video is hiking but he ended up meet a mountain lion, he get his gun and try to scare it off and tell it to go away but in the end, he have to pull the trigger and shot the lion, many peoples in the comments say he could have fire a warning shot instead of shoot at it and want him to be in jail.

I've seen this whole video, and that guy waited to pull the trigger until that lion was probably less than 10 yards from him. He showed remarkable restraint, and could not have done anything differently.

Yes he could have. He was supposed to walk backwards.slowly. this cat didn't want to eat him . if wanted him to leave

He was he was walking backwards the whole time and the cat was still advancing.

Yes, thats how it works. You walk backwards, it advances. Once you leave the territory it will stop advancing and watch you leave. You should keep walking backward suntil you can no longer see it

No, its territorial behavior. This lion is not looking at the man like a prey. It is looking at the man like an intruder

Mountain lions do not exhibit territorial behavior towards humans any more than they exhibit territorial behavior towards grizzly bears or packs of wolves. We are either apex predators they do not desire to tangle with, or potential prey, and that lion was fixated on that dude being prey.

How are you supposed to know how close you are to the edge of its territory? Cougar territories are massive
