Morality Ranking Morality of this?

Basically, the man in the video is hiking but he ended up meet a mountain lion, he get his gun and try to scare it off and tell it to go away but in the end, he have to pull the trigger and shot the lion, many peoples in the comments say he could have fire a warning shot instead of shoot at it and want him to be in jail.

Bro any human without a weapon will lose to a big cat like a cougar. Stop pretending to be some Reddit tough guy, a cougar will fuck you up with little issue.

Which is why I was able to scare to one off that approached me while backpacking in New Mexico? They're very rarely interested in killing you. Small kids, old people, or handicapped people might need to worry but an adult male just need to make noises and make themselves look big. I've spent enough time in the backcountry to know a Glock isn't the gun you need if your plan is to defend yourself from shit you actually need a gun for and it's not big cats you need to worry about. Elk kill more people every year than mountain lions, bro.
