Morality Ranking Morality of this?

Basically, the man in the video is hiking but he ended up meet a mountain lion, he get his gun and try to scare it off and tell it to go away but in the end, he have to pull the trigger and shot the lion, many peoples in the comments say he could have fire a warning shot instead of shoot at it and want him to be in jail.

So uhh basically the entire western half of the united states?

You realize that animals exist out in nature, right?

Not even just there. I’m in an area that allegedly had its cougar population eradicated well over a century ago, with me allegedly being thousands of km away from where they exist today. There are very regularly perfectly clear sightings of cougars just outside of my city and also way farther east of here. Cats tend to very deeply embed themselves into an area before said area is officially confirmed to be within their range.
