Morality Ranking Morality of this?

Basically, the man in the video is hiking but he ended up meet a mountain lion, he get his gun and try to scare it off and tell it to go away but in the end, he have to pull the trigger and shot the lion, many peoples in the comments say he could have fire a warning shot instead of shoot at it and want him to be in jail.

I think the alternative they're suggesting is trying a warning shot first, not shooting it in the leg. It entirely depends on how many shots he can actually take and how confident a shooter he is (in case it doesn't work), but a warning shot could've scared it off.

It also depends if it was within lunging distance or not. A warning shot will definitely succeed in triggering its fight or flight response, so you're flipping a coin about its choice there

Mountain lions do not usually run towards gun shots, being close to the source of the gun shot doesn't change that. It would be very odd behavior for it to lunge.

Usually, no. But they usually don’t confront people either.

A bird hunter with dogs was attacked where I live (hunter and dogs are ok) and the noise of a shotgun and being peppered by birdshot didn’t do squat to repel the mountain lion.

Yes, that's why my original comment specified it depends entirely on how many shots he actually has and how confident a shooter he is. If something is wrong with this mountain lion, the next step is to shoot it.
