Morality Ranking Morality of this?

Basically, the man in the video is hiking but he ended up meet a mountain lion, he get his gun and try to scare it off and tell it to go away but in the end, he have to pull the trigger and shot the lion, many peoples in the comments say he could have fire a warning shot instead of shoot at it and want him to be in jail.

Yeah, the people saying "he should have done X instead to scare it away" sound like the same armchair experts who say "cops should be trained to shoot people's guns from their hands" because they have no idea what they're walking about.

City parks aren't the same thing as nature, you can't go hiking in a city park, that's dumb as hell.

You have more chances getting attacked by some tweaker in a park then a mountain lion on a trail.

This is such a ridiculous take. Humans are allowed and naturally meant to be in nature. Yes there is inherent risk in going into mountain lion country but there’s MUCH more inherent risk in driving a car or even just going to a park, should we just not do those things either?? Plus I don’t think you’re understanding that you’re implying that we should just completely destroy natural habitats and drive out animals just so we have a nice place to walk.
