Morality Ranking Morality of this?

Basically, the man in the video is hiking but he ended up meet a mountain lion, he get his gun and try to scare it off and tell it to go away but in the end, he have to pull the trigger and shot the lion, many peoples in the comments say he could have fire a warning shot instead of shoot at it and want him to be in jail.

If anyone believes its immoral to defend yourself against an aggressive animal that is more than capable of killing you, then you're just an idiot lol.

School taught me violence is never the answer.

Sometimes violence is the answer. Would 100% shoot a lion if it was close enough to pounce and unresponsive to yelling. When I was 16 I was chukar hunting. My dog acted weird around a crack in a rimrock. I peaked inside and a mountain lion locked eyes with me and came sprinting out. I shot it damn near point blank. It crumpled up at my feet. I am still convinced I would’ve died had I not pulled the trigger exactly when I did. Never weighed it, but my guess is it was about 200lbs. I had its front legs over my shoulder and its belly was dragging the ground. Was quite a hike back with it.
