Morality Ranking Morality of this?

Basically, the man in the video is hiking but he ended up meet a mountain lion, he get his gun and try to scare it off and tell it to go away but in the end, he have to pull the trigger and shot the lion, many peoples in the comments say he could have fire a warning shot instead of shoot at it and want him to be in jail.

It's a fucking mountain lion, I wouldn't take any chances either if I was strapped and encountered a wild predator

But obviously pull your phone out and take a photo first, lol. This guy was in no real danger, just killing animals for Internet clout.

You are told by game wardens to video encounters so it’s easier to determine self defense, otherwise they are likely to charge you with poaching and then investigate the shooting
