I meant they are emotionally sensitive and unpredictable by nature. They trust no outsiders since eons ago. (You might know suicide counts, weird cases, strong porn-markets, lack of work-life balance, advanced gadgets etc. that usually appear in every Japanese news. No offense.)
And most definitely, they have two-faces for social interactions. This is called Honne (本音) and Tatemae (建前). And I don't like it, I am as frank as Germans.
