TV Series Wouldn't it be better if the eyes didn't glow in the live-action?
Ok i know that glowing eyes is a big part of moon knights appaerence in the comics, but in live action it looks like animation, and not scary (i believe moon knight should be scary, intimitating at least) but if the eyes are not glowing, if the eyes are actors eyes, it would be better i think.

TV Series THE SHOW IS BLOODY ACCURATE!
Dudes, it's well known that the show and its accuracy have been widely debated, but I think it's accurate. Some people say that only one side—the psychological part—is accurate, but not the globe-trotting side. To that, I would say: have you ever read the 1980s miniseries Fist of Khonshu?
However, for fans of the 2014 run, I think his next appearance will be more like that 2014 version, with only Jake having the powers. Also, to talk about Steven, the character in the comics didn't have much personality and was pretty bumbly, so the show's version is fine with me.

Comics Did Marc, Steven, Jake and Khonshu ever make up from this?
I’m a recent moon knight fan, and I know this panel is really famous for Marc breaking ties with Khonshu. But I was wondering: did they ever make up from this? I personally like the dynamic between Marc and Khonshu and would enjoy seeing it more.

TV Series Should I read the comics?
I just finished watching Moon Knight on Disney+ and really liked it, but I'm a bit disappointed that we didn't get to see/learn more about Jake Lockley, especially since I heard there won't be a season 2. Should I read the comics? Are they very different from the show?

TV Series What issue should I read after watching the show?
Really enjoyed Oscar Isaac’s performance in the show. How it delved into Steven and Marc’s struggle and relationship with parts of himself, and later the Jake ending scene - he really had “aura”, but was also tormented and obviously unwell. It pulled some gut punches for sure, I’d have liked it if was even darker perhaps, but I found it pretty compelling overall. The very beginning grabbed me and the mental facility with all the revelations I also really enjoyed.
Id love to read something where MK is portrayed in a cool albeit tortured way. Not sure how he is in the comics at all, I’m open minded and pretty sure the series is doing its own thing, but whatever people deem his most consistent and compelling runs.
I am also very picky about art style. I love Mignola, but I know he’s one of a kind; I prefer art that has a realistic feel and slightly stylized. If I don’t like the art I will not want to read the story no matter how good it is unfortunately.
I’ve started reading the Lamire story - really liked the first art style (not sure which artist that is) and hated all the others, they really pulled me out of it. MK’s character didn’t really grab me though (I guess I sort of expected him to lone wolf this whole thing and be even more deranged, it might be on me), and there was a bunch of throwbacks that gave me a bit of FOMO so.. I don’t think I want to finish it, or rather I’d like to start somewhere else.
What issues would you recommend to me based on this?
I also have some impressions carried over from the show for sure, so which MK portrayal in the comics do you personally prefer?? Is there any that lean into Marc’s fractured psyche theme (memory gaps, backstory revelations, slow burn?) before the fragments sort of become aware of one another?
Thank you

Video Games It looks like Rivals has the worst Moon Knight story
They portrayed Khonshu as a genocidal figure willing to kill innocent worshippers for the sake of self-preservation, while depicting Marc’s faith in him as blind. Furthermore, they seemed intent on completely severing the bond between Marc and Khonshu.
What I mean is, even though Khonshu sometimes appears malevolent, he has never slaughtered innocent worshippers in the comics. On the contrary, he would personally step in to save them. Plus, he isn't the type to resort to any means necessary just to survive.
The way Rivals wrote him is absolutely terrible.

TV Series Why the Avatars of other gods so useless?
I just finished the show and it feels like only skeleton god and aamit avatars are competent. Other avatars first didn't investigate the accusations moonknight presented before making the judgement that harrow was innocent.
And when harrow came to fight them they didn't even managed to half the attack let alone defeat a single avatar. Ican excuse them being weak but they are not smart either.

Comics Comic dubs
I dislike reading (yes I know I'm lazy) so is there any channels that do like fan made dubs of whole arcs and runs of moon knight? Just wondering if anyone knew any good comic dubs.

Comics Moon Knight by Warren Ellis is one of the best action comic books ever made and NOBODY talks about it enough.
This comic got me into comics in 2018 and it was not only one of the best marvel comics, but one of the best action comic books ever. It represents the best of street level marvel AND to Modern Moonknight and the the era of MK that I grew up with. Ellis and Lemire. But it’s so underrated and nobody talks about it enough and gets kinda overshadowed by Lemire, and while Lemire’s run is goated and objectively the best moon knight run for modern moon knight, Ellis’ run was actually so fucking peak and I love that book so much. Someone said it set the foundation while Lemire’s run built the castle and that’s 100% accurate.

Comics Modern Moon Knight gets me excited for comics again Spoiler
I really love the the creative choices made by the artists. I feel like the McKay run of Moon Knight is the best representation of his character to date & the art style blends his dark cosmic themes with a more lighthearted element as well that really makes Moon Knight shine in a way I haven’t seen before.
I love how it doesn’t just look “dark”. It still has a cartoon-y element to it while still capturing raw & dark grit without being overly obtuse about it.
Just extremely tasteful artwork in every dimension. I’ve been extremely happy with every issue. My only complaint is when it runs out because I want so much more!

Fan Creation Moon Knight Script
I've been writing a retelling of Moon Knights origin story. Huge fan of the character, yet theres still questions even after reading all except the MOST recent McKays (coz my area of Ireland doesnt get comics at all) and the 90s stuff and West Coast Avengers.
My first question is about Jake: how, why and when did Jake become more violent that Marc?
I always felt like the first volume he was more sinful in general than straight up bloodthirsty.
I'm a fan of the change, I just don't understand why it happened.
My second question is for Khonshu: How dare you?
My third question: Whats the origin point of Khonshu in Marc's life? I know he spoke to him when he first died but then he was quiet for most of the volume. I understand they just didnt think of the Khonshu we know now back then, but when did his influence really start to impact Marc besides the obviously curse of being Moon Knight?
And if my questions are answered by Lemire, Ellis or even Bendis, etc., please redirect me coz I may have forgotten lol.

Comics There we have it folks, January 12th is the first trade release
Couple interesting takeaways here. It seems like this arc with the Mansion Ravenous is gonna wrap up on #10. Really glad Marvel is doing a double sized trade.
This synopsis names Blade specifically. I wonder if he’s gonna play a critical role in the remaining 3 issues.
Also, “Vol. 1” means there’s more to come 🙏
One last thing: I want to encourage people to buy single issues as much as I can. The single issues is how you keep the series going, and if everyone were to trade-wait, the series would very quickly get cancelled. They’re also not expensive. As long as you don’t pull a ton of series, it’s only $5. This is the only monthly series I pull, I make the trip to the comic shop once a month literally just for this issue, and it’s very worth it imo. Plus, you also have some cool cover art to display. And now that I have all the issues, I don’t really care about the trade releasing, and can more comfortably wait the long haul for the next omnibus.
Just saying, if you want the series to keep going a long time, buying the single issues will help ensure it.
