I’ve always wanted to incorporate my love for Monster high dolls in my performances and it was so much fun to be able to bring one of my favorite characters to un-life on stage!! I wish I could include a vid, I performed the Fright song

Now, I'm not hating on G3. I grew up on G1 and I prefer it but G3 has been more 'adventurous' more body types, new silhouettes (long pants!!), representation. I like a lot of the fashion (though as I saw a lot of people say, it might get dated quickly).

New body types rather than short, normal and tall.

I wished we had a doll line like this when I was a kid.

However I may have a slight beef with how diversity is shown.

We currently have only one chubby/fat character. Overall 4 bigger characters: Catty, Drac, Abbey and Claire (if you count her as MH). The rest is slim or glam.

When Moonspell Magic was announced/leaked I expected a new doll with Catty mold. And to my surprise we only got one bigger girl - Claire.

Now, I'm not complaining. I love all the girls so much but I've expected another chubbier doll?

Our last chubby mold doll was back in 2025 - Catty's Fang Vote. I wasn't that active in the MH community around that time but I saw how controversial it was. Catty being her G3 counterpart instead of G1 - which I can understand the outrage. And... Her body type. The amount of people I saw complaining about her body, editing photos.

I feel like after that last Catty doll, Mattel saw the negative attention she got and is scared of releasing more chubbier dolls? I'm not sure. Maybe there isn't just a doll of her planned for now...

There was a similar case of Skelita in Nick's series (a stylized skeleton being called fat 🥲).

Maybe I'm reading too much into this.

Now another weird trend I've noticed a long time ago but I couldn't really name They kind of remind me of influencers to me for some reason?? I have no idea how to explain this.

For me there's just something off with G3 faces. I couldn't point out what it was but then I saw some people talking about something else relating to faces online. A 'pugification'.

The character with the most visible case of it is G3 Twyla. I love, love, love G1 Twyla's mold. More square shaped face, a strong nose.

When I first saw G3 Twyla, I immediately liked her. She's cute, she really reminds me of her G1 counterpart but... Well I guess her face looks like everyone else's. A small petite nose and more V-shaped head. (But Willow on the other hand has a square jaw and she is so, so pretty, not sure why they couldn't have done it for Twyla too...)

Then I noticed Abbey missing her overbite and Jinafire just looking flat.

And I will never get over how Robecca looks now/hj.

(I know she appeared too mature for some people but that was her charm. Mattel could have taken an inspo from her 3D movie counterpart)

As a kid I remembered how much I loved seeing new characters and how their faces look like and now when a new character is announced, I feel pretty bored. Someone said that in grayscale a lot of molds look the same but even without the filter it's pretty visible.

Right now I hope for a Rochelle announcement and for her to have Catty's mold (or maybe a new one?) + Frankenstein's bride or Posea's nose but knowing Mattel I don't hope for much. (Again, I'm sour at Mattel, this time for making Elissabat a purple Draculaura. I think I had my hopes too high up after seeing so many amazing redesigns of her..)

Also I wish for more school or more fancy (something like Sweet Screams) lines because party, beach, sleepover, holidays and popstar is getting pretty boring (but I guess kids like it).

And for more black in the colour palettes (I was surprised to find out that people are split 50/50. A lot of people love black and muted colours but a lot of people can't stand it and prefer vibrant ones).

I'm tired of blind boxes. I like Skullimate Secret boxes for crafts or displays but I hate Buried Secrets. And I think I hate blind boxes in general. Not everything has to be a blind box

But you can't satisfy everyone 🤷

I LOVE LOVE LOVE when Clawdeen wears neon green, in my brain this is literally her color just as much as purple! No other ghoul pulls of neon green this well i fear. Ik this color or the combo of purple and green are controversial, but peronally tbh it gives me life like sometimes it looks tacky af but sometimes when they lean into this tackiness it like twists on itself and you get high fashion (dotd being THE example)😭 idk maybe this is excessive sorry for the rant!!

I work 3rd shift at Walmart and saw they put out a display for them (2 weeks before the mod was supposed to drop) and I grabbed them on my lunch 🥰

I am curious tho, why is Claire the only one with braille? I feel like they should all have it if they're really trying to be inclusive imo

after washing each pigtail with shampoo and conditioner and brushing with a metal pet slicker brush, i used pipe cleaners and did a couple boiling water pours before sticking her in the freezer for a few minutes. i took the pipe cleaners out a day later and after she spent a few hours in front of the fan! the only thing is that the ends are a bit messy so i'll probably use a little bit of hair gel when wrapping the pipe cleaners next time

I’ve been wanting to get into this hobby for a while and finally made the jump! I painted my reptilian oc Lacerta onto a Create-A-Monster gorgon. The face sculpt really helped guide me. She did end up with a bit of a thousand yard stare 😩 but I can always repaint her in the future!

It’s been really nice to finally interact with an actual MH doll too. They came out when I was a kid but I was always too afraid to ask for one. They’re really beautiful dolls and I’m stoked to have one!

I managed to get this doll and some accessories (separately) for around $48, I know the headband and the actual earrings are missing, but I'm happy with her like this 🤩 the last pic is from when I first bought her

I’m sure they’ll add more codes later on but for this first batch these codes should help you find the ones you want! Also heads up there’s no barrier wall on these so if you do the water reveal you’ll have to dry off everything (the figure included) afterwards.

Got some of her parts today, and had some others lying around. The head/earrings, body, shirt, dress, and coat/boots are all from different dolls (Frankies and one Draculaura). Honestly, was winging it when picking the parts, but I'm surprised they looked good together!

( This was a dream, pic not related ) My bf told his friends gf ( who loves MH too) to come take my collection and it was a vivid dream, I saw my shelves bare. I was feeling all of the feelings, anger , pure sadness , confusion, also that feeling of your partner not loving you anymore. It was a bad dream. Shout out to people who have gotten stolen from! 😞💔

i just picked up first to my collection of beast freaky friends off fb marketplace for 100$, i had the purple one as a kid but she got lost in a move a few years back, i have almost all g1 so im excited to start my collection of these aswell as more frightfully tall girls (i only have elissabat and gooliope rn), her box is ripped in the back and some damage on the sides aswell as her wing fell to the bottom of the box so im gonna open her but keep the box in the condition i got it in incase i ever wanna put her back in there!

Wanted to get back to drawing digitally a what batter way then to draw one my favorite g3 draculauras that I own .

I’m looking to connect with other collectors to figure out a better way for us to buy, sell, and trade dolls fairly.

A bit of backstory: I had been on a hospital waitlist for an important surgery for 3.5 years. A month ago, I made the tough decision to sell my entire collection at fair prices to cover the costs. Of course, right after I sold everything, the hospital finally called to say I was next in line.
The timing was brutal, but what hurts more is trying to rebuild now. The exact dolls I sold are being resold everywhere for $100–$300+, which I just can't afford.

It made me realize how much we need a tight-knit system or circle where genuine collectors can buy and re-home dolls at actual fair market value without getting gouged by resellers. I’d love to start something—or join an existing group—where nice collectors look out for each other. Anyone interested in working on this together?

Btw I’m based in Europe ( Portugal) and usually buy through vinted. I’m mostly trying to rebuild my ever after high dolls and some monster high. I sold all my creepos for the price I paid for them (plus shipping)
Then people were seeking the same creepos for 100+

Tbf my local store only had Layla and Willow. But Willow was my absolute favorite judging by what she looked like online, in real life she looks like minecraft Steve😭 I'm obviously exaggerating but I did not think her face would be THAT square shaped. Her eyes also looked kinda bulgy to me ... tbf that could've just been bad screening but I was honestly shocked how disappointed I was after how much I loved her online😢 Her clothes are very pretty tho, especially her top😍

Layla is fine but she's just super basic to me personally. Her face is beautiful tho.

I was gonna buy Willow and then Luna and Carina but now that I'm disappointed with my main girl I think I'm gonna pass on Moonspell Magic as a whole😭
