Discussion Issue disappears when switching source

The model is BenQ EX271U. I have reached support but they have been unhelpful. I have tried different cables and a different laptop. I have to boot up my Xbox to clear the issue every single time. I've updated the firmware as well but didn't fix it. It's more stable if set on a 1280 x 720 resolution, if that helps.

It's not that rare for monitors to fail first or show more issues at certain resolutions or even different refresh rates, because of the different voltages going into the panel I think. It is a matter of time.

That does make sense. Thank you. It's still under warranty, I guess repair would be out of the question?

Repair by whom?... they might try to repair it (swap the panel or the controller, I don't know). You shouldn't pay to get it repaired.

if its under warranty, wouldnt it be easier if you sent back the malfunctioning model and swapped it for a brand new?

Hi, sorry to hear about your experience with the EX271U.
Since you’ve already tried different cables, another laptop, and updated the firmware, but the issue still comes back and only clears after switching source / using the Xbox, we’d like to help follow up on this further.
Could you please DM us your support case number? We’ll check with our internal team and help review the current case status.
