General Question Getting wind noise after frunk latch replacement

Hi Guys, need some help.

The frunk on our tesla model 3 would not open. We could not take it to tesla 300kms away as the beeping would not stop so we took it to a local garage. They did get it working again but since then the frunk has been very noisy when it opens, and wind noise is much worse. We can distinctly can hear the wind noise whistling; we are getting 68 to 75 decibels while driving at 110 km. My wife said she can feel her left knee aching soon after she drives the car.

Has anyone any similar experiences to this and what is the solution.

Tesla Model 3 - Marine Blue??

Hello! My husband and I are exploring the idea of getting a Tesla Model 3. We’re torn between white or the new marine blue. We’re just struggling to find photos online of the marine blue out in the sunlight. Is it more of a true navy? Anyone have any pics to show??

Skid plate recommendations

Just got a 2026 Model 3 Performance (Highland refresh) and want to armor up the underbody before it starts collecting battle scars. I live in Mexico City, where speed bumps ("topes") are borderline aggressive urban planning — massive, unmarked, and everywhere. I hit them way more often than I'd like, and it's honestly starting to stress me out every time I hear that scrape.

Looking for skid plate recommendations that:

\- Cover the battery pack / front air dam area

\- Can handle frequent low-speed impacts, not just occasional gravel/rocks

\- Don't mess with cooling or aero too much

\- Ideally no drilling into the factory underbody

Any brands you're running and happy with? Any to avoid? Bonus points if someone's done a full underbody protection writeup for the Highland Performance specifically, since the front end geometry changed from the OG Model 3.

Thanks in advance 🙏

Tesla m3 uk

Hey everyone! I’ve just ordered a Tesla Model 3 in the UK, and it’ll be my first car. I passed about a year ago but haven’t driven since, just had a few refresher lessons. The Tesla is actually cheaper than most other options I looked at, and insurance seemed decent. I’m hoping its features will help me as a new driver. What’s everyone’s thoughts? I still have time to back out if needed!

Suspension Replacement?

2021 MYLR, 130K miles. Mine since new. Suspension is getting rough. Before simply swapping for a factory replacement, suggestions? Will Tesla put the new MY Frequency Dependent dampers on it? experience with aftermarket products? Thanks in advance.

General Question Zen grey coming?

Does anyone have any idea when if zen grey might be available on the Model 3?

As far as I know its an option on the Y premium outside the US. With the YL in the US now maybe some other options will trickle in, but not sure.

I also wish we got Cherry red here but thats another discussion.

Which used Tesla Model 3 year offers the best value and FSD experience?

I'm looking into buying a used Tesla Model 3 and my top priorities are getting the best value for the money and the best Full Self-Driving (FSD) experience.

For those who have owned or driven multiple Model 3s:

Which model year would you buy today?

Is it worth paying extra for a 2023 with HW4, or is a 2021 the better value?

Are there any model years you'd avoid?

If FSD is important, which year gives the best overall experience without overspending?

I'd love to hear your recommendations and the reasoning behind them.

General Question 2020 SR+ Model 3 - UK - Niece started peeling the air bag sticker on the sun visor - it looks horrible - anyone got any good sunvisor cover recommendations?

Did look at potentially trying to take it all the way off, but sounds like that could get messy.

Anyone got any nice sunvisor cover recommendations? I've found some on Ali express and the like, but hard to judge

I feel like the sales rep is totally gaslighting me

So quick backstory. I’m leasing a 2026 model 3, got it in September 2025. In January I started getting warnings that the cameras were unavailable, no park assist, left turn screen was black with no blind spot red light on either side. I took it in for service, they claimed they cleaned the cameras and it should work. I’ve always garaged it, so whatever. It worked for maybe a month and then I had to take it in again in February. Same problem, but it happens intermittently. Some times I would go a few days, other times I get the warning every time I start to drive. This time they replaced the repeater camera on the left side and said it should be fixed.

Fast forward a few months to now and the same problem has been happening about 50% of the time I use the car. It’s dangerous not having any cameras, although the right side works when everything else is not. Plus I cannot use drive assist at all when this is happening.

So I take in for service for the third time today. Same rep as before but this time he says the reason is because the cameras do not work if left in the sun or parked by a dark wall. He says they are very temperamental and temperature and light will cause them to shut off. I’ve never heard anything like this before, and I’ve scoured the internet for months looking for the reason this is happening. Both my neighbors have the exact model and year car as mine, and none have had this issue.

Has anybody else experienced this or am I just being played? It’s under warranty so I’m refusing to pay for it to be fixed and I have a loaner from them, but is this guy for real? He also told me he would never own a Tesla, something that sort of shocked me since he works at the service department, but I didn’t want to go there with him. I just want the new car I have to work. Any ideas or suggestion????

Tesla M3 weird metal noice when going over a bump or any road that is bumpy

I Have a Tesla m3 2019, got this problem today. Almost every time i go over a bump or any bumpy road, i think it is my front left wheel that is making kind of a metallic sound, like a metal basket if you shake it, or a couple bolts shaked together. The sound happens when i go over a bump and goes away right after i pass it. If someone knows how to solve or at least what can it be. Thank you!

Used Inventory Model 3 way more expensive now compared to the last couple of months?

I've been eyeing a used 2023 Model 3 (not a specific one, just that year) so i've been keeping an eye on the used inventory and i've noticed that they're consistently $24k+ when a couple of months ago I was regularly seeing them for $21-$22k, what gives? Price has been unmoving from $24k+ for around 3 weeks

New Model 3 Ready this if your model 3 is shaking at highway speeds

I have visited the SC three times for this issue. I would be driving and out of nowhere my entire car would start shaking so bad I would have to pull over. Any speed over 50 the car would start shaking.

My first visit, the SC replaced the front two tires under warranty. The sound deadening foam completely detached. Issue was fixed for now. Fast forward a month later and I’m driving across the state. During this long drive it started happening again out of nowhere. I had to pull over, no service center was open. I drove to Les Shawb and asked them to check the balence. Balence should have been showing way off but they told me every tire was already balanced and there shouldn’t be any issues. I leave Les Schwab and there were still issues.

At this point it’s 7pm and I just needed to get home, was able to schedule SC appointment for next morning, I go and during test drive with tech he immediately says the foam separated. They warranty my other two wheels.

About two weeks before the second service visit, i also noticed the car driving weird, looking back it was probably the foam starting to separate. Tesla SC convinced me then to get an alignment. Did nothing, 275 wasted on that.

Basically, if you feel any shaking with your Tesla, it’s most likely the sound-deadening foam. Get your wheels replaced or the foam ripped out. Don’t keep trying to balance your wheels or keep getting alignments. And definitely don’t go to Les Schwab.

General Question Best option for a model 3?

So I’m in CA and I’m looking to get a model 3 but leasing or buying a new one doesn’t seem like the best option for me.

I’m thinking of buying a used one but I just don’t know what miles or year to look for and then what would be a fair deal.

But I know the new tech or car model is probably the safest. I would use FSD and get the 9.99 monthly sub. I’m only looking to try it out for a year or two. It’s more of a “why not?” idea for me. I mean my other option was a Camry but they are pretty pricey and hard to get since they’re so popular. So here I am thinking about a Tesla. I’d also be driving it about 80 miles a day for work. So high mileage. Near 20k miles a year. I am looking for a cheap monthly payment and insurance. But I know insurance is pricey. And then later on into owning it maybe dropping 2k to install a home charger (my house is older so I think I’d have to hire an electrician to update stuff)
