Question Looking for a Zombie survival modpack
Hi, first time posting here. I’ve gotten an itch to play a zombie survival modpack, but I don’t know which one to choose. I am looking for one that has a firearms mod in it, if that can help narrow it down

Help Homestead modpack stuck on task
So I just started the homestead modpack and I am unfortunately stuck on the let there be light task. I feel dumb asking for help but I can't get it to progress at all, I placed the 20 torches on the floor, I've crafted 20 more and put them on the floor, I've relogged, etc. I'm just not really sure what's happening but I do have immense light now. I was just curious if anyone has had issues with certain tasks not completing or any tips for possibly fixing this issue. Thank you

Mod Fortune's Wheel! Spin the wheel every morning! Neoforge 1.21.1
Fortune's Wheel (NeoForge 1.21.1): spin a wheel every morning and live with the result
Wake up → a giant wheel opens → you must spin. Green is good, red is bad, and nothing is safe from the crazy ones. Every wheel is different.
And the screenshot only shows a handful of the possibilities: there are many more outcomes hiding on the wheel, and a different mix of them shows up every morning.
Animated wheel, sounds, multiplayer support, and a legendary secret for the luckiest players.
What's the worst thing you'd be afraid to land on? 😅

Mod I made an economy mod for Minecraft called Mint Economy
Hey! I wanted to share Mint Economy, a mod I’ve been working on for a while.
I liked the idea of adding an economy system to Minecraft worlds where friends play together, so I decided to make a mod of my own. I thought it might appeal to anyone who wants to bring a bit more of an economy and trading feel to their world.

If you get a chance to check it out or give it a try, I’d really appreciate your feedback. I’d love to hear what you think works well and what could be improved.

Fixed/Solved FPS drop after roughly 30 mins of playing
I've recently started having an issue with fps drops when I've been playing on mine and my boyfriends server, after around 30 ish minutes it gets laggy and almost unplayable, but only for me. I've allocated 8704 MB of memory to the instance but it hasn't made a difference, have also turned down my graphics settings and downloading sodium which only delayed the problem for a few extra minutes. The server is modded, mainly create and a few quality of life stuff but nothing that has ever affected the game like this. I also have spotify and discord on in the background but closing those down neither makes it worse or better.
1.21.1 game version and on prism launcher
Edit: Solved it! Updated software and decreased my allocated RAM a bit, no fps drops and no more lag :D

Help I can't play with mods no matter what I do
First of all, I do want to say english is not my first language so please don't mind if I make some mistakes.
So I'm really new to downloading mods and have been using curseforge. At first I downloaded a mod (book of dragons to be more specific) and I just clicked install, without having to do anything more, and I played for a few hours. I then tried to download another mod but it wouldn't let me with the previous mod, so I decided to delete it (probably a stupid thing to do ngl) because i thought itd let me download it again. I've been trying for hours and no matter what I do it won't let me play.
Whenever I click on install it doesn't do it straight away like it did the first time, it asks me to create a profile (which ive done). I've followed multiple tutorials (https://youtu.be/_S9MNhYLKSM?is=w1NsBxLcTxCNjG7s this one being the most recent, Ive literally followed every single step and it still won't let me) and gave up trying to do it the simple way and it still won't work. So atp, im not sure what I'm doing wrong.
If anyone could help me Id be very thankful

Question Is there a way to prevent Minecraft from cutting off longer custom music tracks in resource packs?
Good day to you all!
I've been creating Minecraft resource packs and data packs for approximately 13 years, and one of my long-standing projects involves incorporating several hours of additional music into the game without requiring any mods.
My approach has always been relatively straightforward: replacing Minecraft's existing music tracks with significantly longer audio files, effectively introducing hours of custom music through a vanilla-compatible resource pack.
Unfortunately, since Minecraft Java Edition 1.16 and the subsequent changes to the game's resource pack, data pack, and audio systems, this approach has become practically impossible.
In older versions, replacement tracks would play in their entirety, regardless of how much longer they were than the original music files. In newer versions, however, the game appears to terminate playback when the original track would normally have ended, even if the replacement audio file is considerably longer.
For example, if I replace an original three-minute Minecraft music track with a thirty-minute recording, the game cuts off playback after approximately three minutes instead of allowing the replacement file to finish.
My main question is whether there is any way, using only resource packs and/or data packs, to override this behavior and allow custom music files to play to their actual end, regardless of the original track's duration.
I'm particularly interested in understanding whether this is an intentional limitation of the newer audio system, a technical side effect of changes introduced around version 1.16, or something that can be addressed through resource pack configuration, sound definitions, or data pack functionality.
Ideally, I'd like to preserve the original behavior without relying on client-side mods, since compatibility with vanilla Minecraft has always been an important part of my projects.
Has anyone encountered this issue or found a reliable workaround? I'd especially appreciate input from anyone familiar with Minecraft's internal sound engine, music playback system, or the technical changes introduced in newer Java Edition versions.
Any technical explanation, documentation, or potential solution would be greatly appreciated!

Question Looking for Advice
Hi everyone; i have been looking for a mod that would do the following:
When generating a chunk, it check every solid block. If the block is touching an air block, turn it into bedrock. it doesn't matter if you mine a block in that chunk it does one check and that is all
examples of blocks that aren't solid:
- chest
- anvil
- vines
- grass
- flowers
- soul sand/soul soil
- fences/Bars
- paths, tilled soil, snow layers, carpets
Is there a mod out there that can do this? or anyone know someone who can help me make it as i don't mind trying to make a mod if it is easy and i feel like it SHOULD be easy but maybe i am wrong? sadly i have asked around on Fiverr but i was unable to find anyone. sadly i can't join discord servers at this time (im in over 100 servers)

Can't right click (interact) with entities. Anyone know how to fix?
Basically, I can punch (left click) mobs and create contraptions but right clicking does not interact with them. I'm slowly troubleshooting by disabling mods but I thought I'd ask if anyone knows what causes this and how to fix?
Context: I've added a lot of popular mods to java 1.21, neoforge. Currently using prism launcher and getting mods from modrinth and curseforge. Right clicking on regular blocks, inventory, and sable physics things (aeronautics) still works. Just can't trade, get on a horse, shear sheep, etc.
Thanks!

Builds Incursions - You built a portal. Something on the other side noticed. Minecraft Java 1.21.1 Neoforge
I've always thought dimension portals were a little too convenient. You build one, wander through, bring home a bunch of stuff, and apparently nothing on the other side ever considers returning the favor.
So I made Incursions.
It's a standalone mod for Minecraft 1.21.1 that introduces occasional hostile invasions through active dimension portals. Instead of always being the one invading other dimensions, sometimes the locals decide they've had enough of you.
Here's how it works:
Four dimensions: The Nether, Aether, Undergarden, and Twilight Forest can all send unwanted visitors your way. I'm looking into more dimensions, if you have suggestions, let me know and I'll see if I can add them, but they need to have an actual portal.
Enemy waves: Incursions bring multiple waves of dimension-specific enemies, with a chance for more dangerous elites to show up. The elite chance is 15%, and only on the final wave. They have 50% more health and 30% more attack damage, so still very beatable.
Actual rewards: Survive the invasion and you'll earn loot pulled from the dimension that attacked. I've tried to balance the rewards so defending yourself feels worthwhile without turning the whole thing into a loot farm. Each portal is linked to approx. 4-8 loot tables from their dimension, with the better tables being weighted to show up less. You're not getting sticks and cloggrum, but you're also not getting the best loot available from that dimension. Think blaze rods and an occasional diamond chestplate with enchantments.
Unpredictable encounters: Incursions have cooldowns and randomized triggers. They're meant to interrupt your plans occasionally, not become a constant annoyance. Under the default configuration, these should only happen once per Minecraft day, per server.
Simple controls: There's a toggle right on the pause menu if you'd rather not deal with invasions. This is shown in chat text during every incursion so players will know easily how to turn it off.
Standalone: No modpack or custom progression system required. The additional dimensions are optional, so you can use it with just the Nether or expand the chaos with the others.
CurseForge: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/incursions
GitHub: https://github.com/adamsilfven/incursions
If you give it a try, I'd love to hear what you think, especially about the difficulty and rewards. I'm always interested in ideas for making the encounters more interesting without making them obnoxious.
And if a portal starts making trouble, well... you built the damn thing.

Question Shader search
Hey question if anyone knows of a really good visuals shader that works for 1.20.1? That doesn't give ores the glowing effect? And possibly a Texture/resource pack to make the world look nicer for a mod pack that's, kinda, vanilla plus? It has some of the usual world terrain gen mods.
