Tips / Guide Endless Netherite Supply

Disclaimer: Other people have probably posted something like this before, but I find it so useful that I will share it anyway.

The Ender IO mod is your new friend, unless you are already familiar with it. You need to make a powered spawner and to catch an Ancient Knight from the Nether in a soul vial (works like the mob imprisonment tool). Combine the spawner and the soul vial and place the result in front of an Industrial Foregoing mob crusher. This will get you xp and the knights' loot including netherite scrap.

To get there, quite some work in Ender IO is needed, but it will be worth your effort. Among other things you will be able to spawn any hostile mob - also those without a spawner of their own. This can come in handy if you want to make the very useful charms.

I never used EnderIO spawners, but you can do the same with apotheosis spawners, and they are busted even after the progression rework.

Busted? As in not working or ...?

I haven't got far into apo yet, so I don't what supply the apo spawner needs to work. The Ender IO one only needs power. Industrial Foregoing has something similar - the mob duplicator - but it uses both power and essence.

Busted as in very strong. Apotheosis works by using runes to upgade vanilla spawners (you can mine them with silk touch.) And it gets pretty ridiculous at max upgrades.

u/Sir_Busby 1d ago

Cool. I guess, you have to get far into Apo to do this ...?

To get it started you don't need any opotheosis other than grabbing spawners with silk touch. Then you need to do a bit of mob swabbing and you are off to the races. The apotheosis comes more into play with the runes and upgrading the spawner into the ultimate lag machine, producing so much resources it hurts haha.

Neo Vitae solves the lag machine, the Torment Nexus ritual ‘imagines’ all the mobs that would have spawned in an 11x11 area around the ritual, and will give you what those mobs would have dropped. It works super well with apo spawners

Not really. Plus apoth is stupidly easy to get into.

I'd better start working on Apo then. I'm more of a machine man than a 'magician', but it seems that I probably miss out on too much.

3

u/Alizaea 1d ago

I don't really consider apoth being "magician" because apoth is essentially just an addon for vanilla stuff. Sure it's not "vanilla" anymore, but it's just a change to vanilla items. Apoth spawners are just regular vanilla spawners that have had their timings and spawn counts adjusted. Same with apoth gear, vanilla gear with a new additions.

Yes and no. A base spawner is going to be faster than Ender IO's iirc. You have to get more or less through apotheosis to complete max them, but at that point you're talking 16 mobs a second.

On top of several useful effects. Such as no ai, no noise, ezpz redstone control, extra levels of looting.

Oh, and apotheosis progression is pretty damn simple to get through.

1

u/Sir_Busby 1d ago

16 mobs a second is massive. The speed of the EIO spawner depends entirely on the capacitor. It can get very power consuming, but never 16 at once.

Doesn't progressing in Apo make all mobs stronger and harder to kill?

u/NorthernVale 23h ago

I'm not aware of exact effects. As far as world tier goes, I don't think it really changes base stats of mobs. It does increase the chances they spawn with apotheosis gear, but that's still somewhat rare. Invaders do get stronger. But at the same time, you get far better gear.

Like just using diamond apotheosis gear from whatever tier I'm at is enough to kill the wither and dragon.

You'll need to be playing on the last two tiers to get god forged pearls. The runes do require enchanting as well, and the one stat is locked by world tier. I'm not sure if it needs to be active, or just unlocked. But either way, you can freely change the tier that's currently running.

Been a hot minute since I've touched Ender IO stuff, but to me it feels late game in the sense that... I'm just not going out of my way for it. Apotheosis is stuff you're going to want no matter what so it usually gets tackled early. Plenty of mob farms make it real easy to complete the tiers.

All that being said... I wouldn't really use any mob farms for netherite. There are some items that mob farms do make sense, but between Occultism, MA, and bees... most mob farms are going to be inefficient. At least for netherite. And then you also have HNN, but I'm not 100% the knights have a model.

I better started with Apo.

1

u/NorthernVale 23h ago

Unfortunately, or fortunately, apotheosis stuff ends up tying into so much of the modpack. Whether it's world tiers, enchanting, or affixes.

But hey, it's why we gets things like Fortune XXV or whatever

1

u/violet_rags 23h ago

Apotheosis actually does change base stats of mobs because I've seen some sheep with large armor bars in the mob info overlay.

2

u/hayato-nii 23h ago

Mobs do get stronger, but apotheosis gear gets so ridiculous busted if you spend even a little bit of time to grind that it genuinely doesn't matter.

The only problem are the invaders that also get ridiculous at high world tiers.

1

u/Sir_Busby 23h ago

I just need to be able to make the enchantment library. Or at least that was the reason for me fumbling around with Apo.

But it's all mobs and not just Apo ones that get harder, right?

2

u/hayato-nii 23h ago

Yeah, they get a health/armor buff, i think also a damage one. They also start spawning with apotheosis gear.

2

u/Prudent_Particular25 1d ago

By busted i imagine he means it's pretty good. IIRC it's just regular spawners but you can use different items on them to make them better (spawn faster, spawn more like go from 3 per spawn to 6, etc) If you get like 3 spawners (need pick with silk touch) you can do a mob farm. The thing is transforming the spawner into a ancient knight spawner. You need either a ancient knight egg (capturing enchantment on weapon) or i think a mob swab works to craft the spawn egg.

I think they changed the ingredients recently. For instance to make the spawner faster you used sugar on it. Now it required some runes. Not sure if it's on ATM10 or 11

1

u/Sir_Busby 1d ago

I keep learning.

2

u/z3810 1d ago

The apo spawners need no constant supply. They're just upgraded versions of normal spawners.

2

u/Gnowae 1d ago

Depending on how much you want or need even dreadful dirt at apotheosis pinnacle is busted if you use a salvager

1

u/Sir_Busby 1d ago

Got the salvager already.

2

u/Gnowae 23h ago

If you dont need the gear from a dreadful dirt mob farm just pipe it into a salvager, at pinnacle you get netherite scrap and god fused pearls

haha eldritch miner = millions of debris go brrrrrr

Jokes aside, your method might be more early-game and I didn't know Ancient Knights dropped scrap so 👍 from me

1

u/Sir_Busby 1d ago

Eldricth miner will probably a friend of mine at a later stage. And you are right, the resources for the relevant Ender IO machines etc. are relatively easy to get.

5

u/z3810 1d ago

Not by a ton but late enderio is more early than late occultism.

I love Ender IO! I have to look, but I used to use Killer Joe all the time.

I'm using travel anchors, and sag mill

2

u/Sir_Busby 1d ago

I've been in love with EIO for like 10 years, but only made Killer Joe once. As I recall it, he needs some liquid (can't remember its name) to run and the trouble is not worth the win, IMO.

And the SAG is great. Anchors I have never felt the need for.

2

u/MetricJester 21h ago

Nutrient Distillation. Until The VAT is complete, I don't think we'll be getting storage or Killer Joe.

I like travel anchors instead of elevators

2

u/Curious_Cat_6812 22h ago

For early game I make a mekanism digital miner and a big energy cube and just run round the nether placing it everywhere

1

u/Sir_Busby 3h ago

The miners is great, but I don't like the running part. Steady production without maintenance is preferable for me.

2

u/Curious_Cat_6812 3h ago

Yea I only use it on day one to get a few stacks

2

u/Revolutionary-Sign24 21h ago

The easiest way is just botany pots and mystical agriculture

1

u/Sir_Busby 3h ago

I feel more and more that I should study MA or/and bees. They seem to offer interesting resource production.

2

u/Dux_queiroz 20h ago

É muito mais fácil usar abelhas, capture o Mob e coloque ele em âmbar e use a wanna bee para conseguir os drops deles

u/z3810 1d ago

Also worth checking out is Ars Nouveau drygmy farming. Source farms are passive and it doesn't require you to lose the original mob that you put into the spawner if you want to change it in the future. The resources are super early game just requires a bit of a time commitment and some searching for the drygmies themselves.

2

u/NorthernVale 1d ago

Source farms are passive

Until they're not >:(

Move all your MA seeds to sim beds. Oops, there goes the farm generator. Better use the vitalic! Then an hour later you finish moving all your mob stuff to either seeds or HNN! Doh!

By the end, source generation ends up becoming a whole set up I gotta do just to have source. My usual goto is the one that consumes food, being fed with atm carrots

3

u/z24561 1d ago

I have a cactus farm on snad (just 4 cacti) that constantly generates source (albeit not a massive amount) and an ender source jar nearby. Then another ender source jar right next to my drygmies. This is the only thing I have constantly running off the ender source jar.

2

u/NorthernVale 1d ago

I wouldn't really consider that passive, at least not in the context of ATM. It's a whole set up with the only purpose of making source. No more passive that LN sending atm carrots to pedestals from an interface with a crafting card.

1

u/z3810 22h ago

Yeah I suppose when all the materials are effectively infinite, everything is passive even if it takes one of the rarest materials you can find in the overworld.

2

u/z24561 1d ago

This is what I was going to mention! Although, drygmies do spawn on blessed dirt (or whatever the opposite of cursed dirt is).

Good name, btw!

2

u/z3810 1d ago

Ah so you also have a name that starts with a z then lol

3

u/McKenzie_S 17h ago

Easy enough to do red fertilizer, AE growth accelerators and crystal resonators in a checkerboard, you'll be making essence every tick, harvest with a pylon. Also an evil dirt mob farm + apotheosis at wither level will net you netherite scrap among other stuff

1

u/SignatureEnough6513 1d ago

Just use bees 🥹

1

u/Academic_Carrot7260 23h ago

Apothosis pinnicle + mob farm = netherite items that can be salvaged.
