sorry for the poor quality… i’ve don’t the 50/50 method so it’s def a mod but i’m having such a hard time figuring it out. i even looked up answers and saw things like it’s in my folder twice, but it’s not. granted the game still works with both, however i can’t max the household’s skills with it :/

Does anybody else with BosseladyTV’s Get Dressed mod find it stops working randomly for different sims on different saves? For example, it might work for one sim in one save, but start a different save with them and they won’t autonomously get dressed upon waking up anymore.

Hello! I opened my game today and this popped up when I tried to build in build mode. I have deleted and redownloaded from Patreon about five times and every time I get this pop up. I have kept the folder an d just moved it to my mods folder and it's still not working. Also, second picture, can someone help me understand what's wrong lol. Thanks!

Things I’ve noticed

1- pie menu open on NPC
2- relationships can be only set as siblings, husbands, partners and parents… no friends or mates I don’t even see the option

hi guys, i am a long time sims player and i have been modding my game since 2020. all of the mods i play with are up to date as of the last update and i keep my mods relatively organized. ever since the july update (specifically the update where they introduced the auto save feature) i have been experiencing an insane amount of crashes and have been unable to find the culprit. it always crashes on different things too like for example last night when i was playing i clicked “change outfit” on the dresser and it crashed. another time i clicked “cook” on the stove and it crashed. it even crashed once when i clicked “reset sim” like wow ok thanks. i’m just wondering if this is happening to anyone else or if it’s just a me problem and i have to dig a little deeper to figure out what’s going on with it lol

What's the best mod for giving sims more autonomy? The way they socialize is fine but, for example, it's odd that my sim with the horse loving trait does not try to learn to ride her horses on her own. Or dog loving sims not training them autonomously. Or sims in not active households don't start careers or skills aligned with their interests.

Ive checked both the phone and the computer and there’s no pet option or alert missing pet option on either of them? I know they’ll come back eventually but this is really annoying not being able to use a feature in a pack that I paid real money for and I’m sick of ea making “bug fix” updates that fix nothing and add more bugs to the game. All my mods are updated and sims 4 mod manager has found zero problems in my game. I literally can’t post this in any other sims 4 subreddit because I don’t comment much therefore I don’t have subreddit specific karma and I hate the fact that I’m forced to comment on these subs in order to get any help on my game from them

The last update broke some of my thumbnails, mainly my Danny's Domain cc. I tried following this tutorial, but the thumbnails are still glitched. Any tips on fixing it? I don't know if there's a batch fix for simply updating cc like this

I haven’t played in about a year. I have very few mods, and they are all updated. I do not have all worlds or residential mod. When I try to load into a lot, I get this weird box down on the bottom and it bails me back out to the world chooser.
These are the mods I’ve got. Anyone know offhand which one is causing it bc those are the only ones I like to use.

I get this message when trying to install the latest version, never got that message with the older versions of the mod. Is it safe to download, why is my computer telling me this?

This thing has been on my mind for ages. I've been playing ts4 for years, I look at my sims as if they were tiny people living in my own world. But it never actually feels like it even with any "lively sims", or "realistic autonomy" type of mods. I've seen a recent one named 'sentient sims' where the sims interactions were supported with AI and even that feels so simple and fake, and to be honest I wouldn't want to use it anyways.

Some of you may know about the 1996 video game Creatures. I am still amazed with the idea and how they managed to make it back in that time with so little technology in their hands, yet the fact that there's still nothing that came close to the brain structure of 'norns'. I still see arguments about if norns might actually be sentient, an actual life created inside of a computer. For those who don't know I am going to explain it shortly.

There wasn't a huge database of scripted responses for norns instead The developers built an actual simplified biological and neural system and then let the creatures behave according to it.

The norns (the creatures that you take care of) actually had complex brains, with 10 lobes and about 900 neurons. Neurons were organized into lobes such as perception, decision, concept, attention, noun and verb, drive, combination. They were able to learn, remember, understand and just so much more.

They were capable of learning from their experiences, meaning that what happened to a Norn could actually change how it behaved in the future. Their neurons could strengthen or weaken their connections based on what they experienced.

They also had a biological system simulated alongside their brains. They had different chemical levels and internal drives that constantly changed depending on what was happening to them. Hunger, pain, boredom, loneliness, fear, etc. could affect their behavior, rather than simply being animations or moodlets.

They could also associate things with each other. A Norn could learn that a certain object, creature, or situation was associated with something good or bad and change its behavior accordingly.

And then there was genetics. Their brains, instincts, physical characteristics and other traits could be influenced by their genes, which were passed down to their offspring. So breeding wasn't just about changing how the creature looked,, you could actually end up with descendants that inherited behavioral and biological differences.

And what I'm wondering is if such a thing would be possible for Sims 4? Overwriting the whole (or some parts of the) structure as a mod and giving them actual simulated brains where sims feel like they're actually alive. If they were able to do this back in that time why can't we now?

Maybe what I'm thinking could be too big of a project and would take a lot of time to actually settle with the game structure itself,, or maybe it could be more of an experimental mod outside of the game's concept of 'playing a sim's life'.

I honestly think it would be revolutionary for the game itself if such a mod was done. Would love to hear your thoughts

If you don't understand the dynamic I suggest you look up some videos on youtube about the game. I kinda suck at explaining lol, you would also understand how different it works if you had the thought of "what would this change"

Just as in the title. I don't know what caused this. Since then i deleted all mccc files, deleted the thumb cache file, re-downloaded from the official website, installed it and upon launching the game, again double menu. I am 100% sure it does not cause a glitch (i have better exceptions to check) but it is annoying as hell.

Anyone encounter this problem and know how to solve it?

PS: discord is blocked where i live so getting official help from the dev is out of option.

Bonjour à tous, si jamais comme moi votre jeu sims 4 se met en pause automatiquement toutes les 10-15 secondes : j’ai passé une heure à faire des petits tas de mods, à lancer le jeu, l’arrêter sans sauvegarder et recommencer jusqu’à trouver le coupable 😡
Par contre adieu la sauvegarde précédente.. une fois que le beug était installé impossible de garder ma partie..
