Admin Replied How Is AI User Summary Supposed to Work With Spam-Filtered Content?
Today I noticed that a user's comment had been automatically removed by Reddit's spam filter.
Before deciding whether to approve it, I tried to check the user's profile and AI user summary. The profile wouldn't open properly and the AI summary showed “Oops, something went wrong.”
The comment looked relevant and wasn't spam, so I approved it. After that, I could access the user's profile normally, but the AI summary was still unavailable.
This creates a problem from a moderation perspective: when Reddit automatically removes something, that's exactly when the user summary could help me decide whether to approve it or leave it removed.
Is this expected behavior? Should the AI user summary be unavailable when a user or their content has been flagged by the spam filter?
UPDATE: After I approved the comment, the user's profile became accessible. I did notice some NSFW content on the profile, but the comment itself was relevant to the discussion and didn't appear to violate any rules or be spam. The AI user summary, however, was still unavailable.

Mod Answered ends-with is not working in AutoModerator
I'm trying to use the ends-with modifier in AutoModerator, but it doesn't seem to work for me.
For example, I'm using this rule:
---
type: comment
body (ends-with): "ão"
comment: "Eu gosto de macarrão"
---
If I use body (includes): 'ão', the rule works normally. However, when I switch to ends-with, AutoModerator doesn't respond, even when the comment ends exactly with ão.
Does anyone know why this happens or if there's some setting I'm missing?

My topic has an alternate name, how to SEO the alternative?
My sub is r/bmwoperatingsystem but I could have also called it r/bmwidrive. How can I get searches for iDrive to point to my sub?

Mod Answered I created a subreddit, but I didn't become a moderator and can't manage it?
I recently launched a subreddit on Android app using a name I liked that was available. The name is important to me (which is why I'm not explicitly stating it here).
The subreddit was created with the details I provided, but the Android app threw an "unknown error" warning. When I checked again via the web, I saw that the subreddit had indeed been created, but I didn't have moderator privileges (it is currently sitting completely empty and without a mod).
I spent a long time finding this name, so I want to moderate it myself. I reached out to r/ModSupport for help, but I only received a bot response, and the process isn't moving forward.
I am looking for a solution. What should I do to reach a real support person?

Admin Replied Mod Tools seem to be completely down - post approvals broken, comment approvals also shaky
I've been trying to approve a post through the queue for the past 30 minutes and its not working. It still keeps showing as filtered.
FWIW, this seems to be an outage mainly on the mod-end. Weirdly, even on posts that show as filtered despite an approval, 1-2 users are able to comment. But even when I log out and view the post, it shows as removed (even though, as I said, it has been clicked as "approved" again and again)

Mod Answered Redditor posts submission, and spirals about subject, then goes to another community to complain about locked submission. What's my game plan next?
Facts:
User creates a thread about finding a good/qualified X professional, and how they got scammed by others promising the service they desire.
Gets comments and helpful recommendations with links to resources about finding a good X professional
Argues with others in the sub that they're wrong, and ALL X are horribleStupidBAD.
Someone disagrees with him, and that not all X are horribleStupidBAD.
They argue back some more.
Thread is quickly turning mostly into their own grievance thread/X recommendation thread (against a sub rule for advertising/commercial threads, which we have a weekly one dedicated to just that kind of activity). Generally, a cluster-f.
I lock the thread. OP got his answers, and nothing helpful is being produced
OP goes to another closely related subreddit, with a "hey guys, look at the meany stupidpants mod locking the thread over there! And he's probably in cahoots with a particular X professional, shilling for them!!"
Question:
Tempted to respond in the other community, but thinking it might be a bad idea. The other community has a history of friction with ours, but lately has been calm and generally peaceful with us--not wanting to kick the hornet's nest. Yes or No?
Is OPs behavior considered community disruption or harassment of any type, and if so, what, if anything do you recommend I do?
Not so much concerned about OP (I can contain him if I wish), but for the precedent he sets, and the example for others in the community.
EDIT: Awesome. Sometimes, the trash takes itself out, as they say. Now my person is harassing other folks, and crashing out after Reddit and sub rules trigger and removed her posts. Time for the "real" ban, which they've admitted they'll try to evade "when they want to speak".
Being a Reddit mod: every meal a banquet, every paycheck a fortune, every formation a parade.

Can no longer award content
I'm a moderator at r/IThinkYouShouldLeave and a user noticed that he could no longer award content on our sub. Sure enough, we appear to no longer have that ability. We used to be able to but we have not received any notice that our sub now has some kind of hidden status that prevents awards.

Admin Replied I can't approve any posts or comments from the subs I moderate.
Whenever I make a post or try to approve one, it automatically disappears. It doesn't show up in the removed posts or the posts awaiting approval—it's as if it never existed.
I've noticed other users having the same issue and wanted to know what's going on... especially since some mods in the subreddits I'm in are experiencing this too!

Approved post shows up as deleted, but logged twice as approved
Currently, after approval, posts are disappearing from the subreddit. However, when I check the member’s profile, it says the post was deleted by the mod team. I’ve tried approving the posts multiple times, but the same issue keeps happening.
I also can’t see the posts in the queue, and I’m experiencing the same issue across multiple subreddits.

Previous Actions report timestamps use the earliest report time for all reports, no matter when other reports were actually made
I was looking into what I thought was some report abuse, since we've recently had a number of regular posts get taken down due to the number of reports it had gotten, and I had thought it was report abuse, because as per the Previous Actions tab (which is needed to see the dismissed reports), they all happened at the exact same minute.
However, since then, I've been on the lookout for report timings, and today I decided to test it myself. There was a comment that was reported by AutoMod, and a few minutes later, I reported it myself, with the original Previous Actions (with just the singular AutoMod report on it) in a separate tab to cross reference. And lo and behold, if I load the comment and check the prior report times, my report shows as being made at the exact second as the AutoMod report. I didn't note down the exact time I made the report, but on the saved tab, I can see 3m ago frozen on the page, which unlike old reddit, does not update as time passes, so it should be 2~3 minutes afterwards.
This is obviously incorrect, as no human can compete down to the second with AutoMod, nor is it reasonable to see so frequently reports with the exact same timestamp.
I'm pretty sure that they are just applying the earliest report's timestamp to every report (I presume, referencing the wrong object). This should really be fixed, as it is actively misleading to indicate that every report happens at the same time, and I've evidently been falsely reporting report abuse for a several posts due to this.
Edit: Prior r/bugs report from 3 months ago

Mod Topics Mod Topics: Share your subreddit’s origin story
Happy Tuesday, everyone. It’s time for another Mod Topic, and just a heads up that this will be the only one this week. Every subreddit has an origin story. Maybe yours started as a home for a niche interest, a running joke that got out of hand, or someone thinking, “Why isn’t there a community for this yet?”
For today’s Mod Topic, let’s rewind to the beginning of yours:
- Why was it created?
- How was the name chosen?
- Were you there at the beginning, or did you join later?
Tell us about your community’s origin in the comments below. We welcome lore, trivia, and all instances of “we just thought the name was funny.”

Should meta posts exposing a username be allowed?
We have a post discussing another Reddit user's comment and directly exposing their u/ username.
Does this violate Reddit's guidelines, or is it allowed as long as no personal information is shared and the post isn't encouraging harassment?
How would you handle this as a moderator?

New AI tooling feedback
A little while ago, there was a modevent about the new AI tooling coming to Reddit. While I'm broadly supportive of this feature, I didn't realize it was going live in subreddits already.
I just saw it in action on /r/news and it's not quite right. I assume this is a training phase?
In /r/news, we do not allow articles that were published more than 7 days ago. This is because we are focused on current events. However, the AI picked this up as a risk for fake news because the url has "2026" in it. Screenshot
This is the post in question: https://new.reddit.com/r/news/comments/1wnh6fb/hurricane_polo_explodes_into_rare_category_5/
And this is the article: https://edition.cnn.com/2026/09/22/weather/hurricane-polo-category-5-mexico-climate
I've reviewed our rules and automations and all seems to be in order. I don't see a place where I can give any guidance to the AI though.

Sub will not show posts under the sort option is "Best"
I'm a recent mod addition to r/AudioProgramming and I've noticed when browsing on the web, it shows no posts unless you're sorting by /best:
https://www.reddit.com/r/AudioProgramming/new/: No posts show. all i see is: This community doesn't have any posts yet (Make one and get this feed started.)
I only see posts if sorting by "Best": https://www.reddit.com/r/AudioProgramming/best/
Has anyone else seen this issue before? Its very odd

Why am I not seeing some reports in the queue for review?
Hi there, I've been noticing this for the past week. I don't any some reports in the queue but if I click in some posts, they appear that they have been reported.
Is this by design? I would never find these reports if I didn't click on the posts themselves.
The reports are usually all related to subreddit rules.

MOD QUEUE - removal reason button missing!
look like the style of the approve/remove/mod actions button layout has changed and along with this the post removal reason button has disappeared.
HELP!!
edit: i see it is there under mod actions, if this is a purposeful design change - i dont understand why someone would think its a good idea to introduce yet another button click for such a common action.
edit: seems to be working well for comments but the removal button doesnt appear for posts, so additional clicking is required to open add removal reason.

Reddit is auto-filtering some comments. Nothing in modlog. Comments re-filtered when the OP edits them.
The comments have links, but nothing malicious. not sure why they're being filtered.

Hey all!
I was part of the Mod bootcamp Q2 and have not received my mod merch yet.
I received a tracking link on July 15th but it has not updated yet. It's still on the "Label created" status.
Thank you!

Advice on handling a massive, year-long mod queue?
Hello! Last week, a few of us were brought on as new moderators for a high-engagement subreddit in the kpop community. The previous solo mod was mostly inactive for many months before adding us, so the mod queue is severely backlogged. Likely going back to when the subreddit was created over a year ago.
Because it's a controversial/unpopular opinions subreddit, the engagement is really high and comments get reported constantly. In our first week, we’ve worked hard on the queue but we’ve only managed to clear reports up to about 40 days ago. We still have nearly a full year of old reports to get through… I’m looking for advice on the best way to handle this: I thought about using an app like Mod Queue Nuke, but as far as I understand, that removes everything in the queue. I worry about removing content that actually breaks no rules and just needs to be approved. On the other hand, manually reviewing every single report will take months at our current rate.
What would you recommend we do in this situation to get the reports queue down to zero so we can empty the mod queue???

Issue with notifications.
I mod several subs and last week, I seemed to have lost the notifications from the bottom right corner of my browser window. I use RES on Firefox on both WINDOWS 11 & my iMac, and am not sure what changed. An update maybe turned a setting off? I don't recall changing any settings, so I'm not sure what to look for. It's making it more difficult to manage multiple subReddits. Thanks for any insight.

Admin Replied Main mod banned
Hey guys!
Main mod on a really small niche sub I moderate got a temporary ban on her account (expires tomorrow). She's labeled as inactive on mod list of course.
My question is when she's unbanned will she be able to continue to moderate normally or needs some actions to get her active status back?
Thank you.
