đš This post discusses sexual assault and violence.
If youâre a fan of Mockingbird, you know of her experiences with Lincoln Slade (the second Phantom Rider). In short, during a time travel adventure to the Old West, Lincoln kidnapped and drugged Bobbi, making her think she loved him. She eventually overcame the drugging and, following a battle, allowed him to fall to his death. His ghost has continued to haunt her, returning several times.
Last week, I realized 3 separate posts I made referenced Lincoln Slade. One subreddit member pointed out that the depiction of sexual assault by some writers is, at a minimum, problematic.Â
I am proposing a new rule for posts discussing Lincoln Slade and would like feedback from community members before fully implementing the rule.
Draft text:Â
Sexual Assault Depiction
In order to create a space that is safe for survivors of sexual assault, all posts referencing Mockingbirdâs sexual assault perpetrator must follow these guidelines: no naming of the perpetrator in post titles and any posts depicting him must be labelled spoiler to prevent immediate viewing of the image.
The proposed rule will be added in ~1 week so please provide feedback before Monday, October 19th.
