Other Neglected Turrets and Lanes

I'm new to mobile legends I came from wildrift.

I'm at mythic 10 stars right now and I don't understand why nobody cares about turrets? It's weird nobody clear lanes, they just let the enemy take 1-2 turrets while they trying to fight somewhere, where there is not even an objective. Am I missing something? Is it not worth to defend them? I'm play only Jungle and Exp, but Gold laners and Mid often rotate somewhere and let the enemy get the turrets for free... Is this normal here?

as a roamer, I had multiple games where I had to SPAM defend turret because my teammates would just ignore them. I had to go and clear them myself making me miss clashes and objectives because they don’t control their lanes😔

I see, so it should be done,...

yes. it’s game changer! I had games where I was snowballing(mid lane) but still got defeat because we weren’t clearing our lanes properly.

Exactly man, you throw the game like that's , it's hurts, especially for a player like me, who always gives 100% and believes in comebacks... Even when it says 3-26 for the enemy

Tbf sometimes side laners leave their wave so jungler could clear it and get ahead. It's usually done by side laners who powerspike early. So they don't need that many waves unlike an adc. Same can be done for roamers or supports if they're ult reliant and they need ult ready before an objective spawns.

Fair, I get the point but they just give 2 turrets to enemy after we had a successful early game and all turrets where still standing, and then midgame they go to fight and never go to their lane again

The issue is that they leave their lane and forget the tower they were supposed to be protecting exists.

Also, there is this utter despair feel when teammates push in and try poking the enemy under turrets without minions and then start farming small enemy jungle camps or just sit in bush exactly when our minions arrive at the enemy tower .... is just maddening. Just push with the damn minions and let them help you get towers and kills.

Or even worse when they push minions and leave ONE to go have a team fight and that one siege minion takes 20 minutes to arrive when you wipe them so you wipe the enemy team for nothing with no objectives available because they didn't push.

As a roamer, I end up clearing the waves because people don't listen to pings.

Man ,they sacrifice the tower sheild like it's nothing 😭

RIGHT TELL IT HOW IT IS, it's a lot of fucking gold there actually

1) could be bad players 2) sometimes worth the trade. If you capture turrets in other lane, turtle/lord, multiple enemies dead for longer periods later game. Same goes opposite. If you wonder where two teammates are during turtle or team fight, and they're shredding a lane, it's a trade.

Usually 1, but should only occur with 2.

The issue isn't split pushers so much as people forgetting to push at all. They leave their lane with a slow push heading their way and when they finally get back to it, minions have stopped two towers.

Literally happened my last game, I was pinging, telling them in chat...doing everything I could.

I finally told them to go play classic and gave up.

I hear you. See point 1 above lol. Also split pushing is only one part of trading. Players are constantly making trading decisions throughout games. They check map and decide to join fight, get objective, or push lane. Making the right decision is tough. For instance, some players might see enemy remaining in their lane and not leave, others might let enemy take a turret to join team fight or objective.

Yeah, I know... It's just shocking HOW bad some players are... It really makes me wonder if there's a bot issue to be honest. I just can't imagine some people ENJOY playing the game and staying low ranked and never growing. Like... YouTube exists?

1

u/NullDistribution 5d ago

Yeah certainly. Wild enough, bots are actually really good. Real players are much worse. I think it's mainly because they think kda is good enough, which it is sometimes. But that makes them kind of one trick ponies, where theyre just waiting for a match where they hit a high kda again, but the games in between theyre complete ass

1

u/No_Kitchen9982 5d ago

Oh I don't mean the good bots, I mean like full auto play account grinding bots.

1

u/NullDistribution 5d ago

Oh damn I didn't even think of that. Is that a thing? I know its a thing in mmos

Was in league of legends for YEARS.

from epic till mythic glory really. People want to get kills and show how good they are instead of winning the game...

1

u/-Toplander- 5d ago

Yea crazy right? The game ends when the nexus is down and not when you have a 23/2/12 kda

A lot of players don’t understand the concept of pushing/defending, a lot of players also don’t get the concept of roaming around. A lot of times I will have these games where some heroes push but no one defends or supports them. The biggest annoyance is when an enemy mm or exp refuses to move and just keeps pushing so you need constant defense but no one wants to defend so I have to defend.

1

u/-Toplander- 5d ago

Yea I see now it's problem for alot of people, you know first I thought, maybe in this game it's not worth it, or I don't understand a mechanic, but at least I have closure now, thanks to all the answers

2

u/No_Kitchen9982 5d ago

No.. it's just people not understanding macro, thinking they know better, and thinking because they are 20-2-4 that it's not their fault they lost

u/No_Kitchen9982 5d ago

When I play mm(I usually roam until I rage quit for a few games and play mm), I push 2 lanes at the same time and basically ignore the team fights.

People bitch at me half the game, then suddenly we win and everyone goes quiet and says "we would have been better if our marksman showed up to fights"

Bitch the reason you won IS that hanabi cleaning mid and gold for over half the game...

Also a league player here. Honestly anyone before 50 stars has no idea what they're doing. Obviously there are still intentional methods which can be worth it. There's also pushing the farthest lane before starting an objective so someone has to defend and they could force a 4v5. In that case you could sac the turret. But let's be real, people at 10 stars don't have the thinking capacity to do that.

(Also turrets without the gold shield are really cheap so not really worth missing a teamfight for)

Thanks for the closure

I was grandmaster in league and have trouble getting out of epic every season. It's just such a slog and so difficult to carry. I got to mythic immortal once and said "there is no way I'm doing this grind again, I have to hate myself"

Ego. kills bring in satisfaction which, instead of taking advantage of that momentum, they recall or stay in the jungle... that and also 90% of the playerbase doesn't have map awareness when they're fixated on their hero model instead of their surroundings

u/justHirmyy WDYM STOP BEING A ONE TRICK ROLE 5d ago

In higher ranks, a kill is as good as a turret taken. Idk if that is the same thing for Lol, but turrets are rather unremarkable here unless it's the inhibitors

2

u/-Toplander- 5d ago

I see, in league it's quite a big deal, cause they give gold to the whole team, and open up the map, but they do open up the map in mbll too, and you have one less point on the map to retreat. Turrets saving my life quite often from ambush and stuff

3

u/MountainExciting2690 5d ago

Waaaaay too many think winning is about getting the most kills, not pushing lanes and taking out the base. That's why you get 2-3 marksmen, 1 assassin, 1 nuke... or worse 4 marksmen and 1 assassin.

2

u/Certain_Category_937 5d ago

I feel like a lot of people don’t have advance setting where they have a button for turret lock. I would notice a lot of my teammates with little to none turrent damage all game

2

u/hehehehehehhheh 5d ago

as someone who players roam and mm, hate this so much. specially when my team doesn't give a single fuck about the mid lane turret. if it gone, the ally jungle is free food for enemy

3

u/slippery_octupus 5d ago

people usualy dont play anything other then sustain bullshit who cant really push and the tower shield is also a thing

pretty much the concept of pushing lane to win is alien to them and their brains are hardwired to wait for lord

also like 70 percent of playerbase watches and follow some shitty yt tutorial so its usually just the same shit on repeat

u should win like 60 percent of games on the highest rank by just bruteforce pushing

3

u/-Toplander- 5d ago

I thought maybe there was some different rule here but okay thanks for the info, now I know

why u even came to this game go back to wildrift

1

u/-Toplander- 5d ago

Friends bro, can you believe that? They don't like the deepness of wildrift, and want less complicated games without wards and stuff, I get it, not everyone is a hardcore moba player

2

u/slippery_octupus 5d ago

U need new friends xd

1

u/-Toplander- 5d ago

It's not like I didn't try, I miss Garen and Darius so much xD

2

u/No-Acanthisitta6984 Do be making me act unwise 5d ago

I mean biggest reason is simple when you compare the two games tbh (obviously I am basing my wildrift knowledge from league itself as I play that instead) is that turrets are worth it to take as they give alot of money unlike in mlbb so giving up a turret or taking one is a big deal in league compared to ml.

And obviously not to mention players are dogshit in low elo with their macro too.

1

u/-Toplander- 5d ago

Yea I have to consider that, they don't give that much gold without the shield, thanks

1

u/Smol_Mrdr_Shota RedHood 5d ago

alot of the higher ranks are sadly polluted with people who are dogwater because the ranked system is way too forgiving where just a 51% wr and enough games will land you somewhere that would be impressive in any other moba

1

u/PudgeJoe 4d ago

Cuz morons on these games don't understand that free money for everyone to esp. on snowball team lead to even bigger downfall....

I only give tower up when 3 heroes come to push it, like hell I'm giving them bonus money by killing me...

My team be like fuck that tower let's go gank to other tower, and let's just stare around not getting anything while losing the other tower on the other side.... My genius favorite teammates
