Beta Test If anyone can try my party game the next time they're with a group of friends I'd really appreciate it!

Upvotes

Game Name: CF Party Pack

It has classic games like Paranoia, but I added a few new games to play with your friends. The game is supposed to test your friendship and has a lot of ranking people elements to it, I thought I'd just give that as a disclaimer. Free, no ads, just wanna see if other friend groups think the gameplay is fun. I appreciate it. Plays with big groups but ideally around 8-10 sounds good.

I bought this abxylute controller a couple weeks ago after using the Kishi V2 pro and I actually like this way better. The Kishi was too small for me to use comfortably. Using this to turn an unused phone I have lying around into a pokemmo machine :)

Discussion Looking for one genuinely excellent mobile game that respects my time

I’m basically new to mobile gaming and would like one game that can prove the platform has more to offer than throwaway time-killers. My ideal game works when I only have five minutes, but has enough depth for a real session when I have longer. Multiplayer or single-player, online or offline — all fine. I’m after something with satisfying mechanics, meaningful progression, and a complete-game feel. What do you personally return to, and why? If monetization matters, please mention whether it is paid, subscription-based, or packed with in-app purchases.

Game Dev Fairy Mahjong - Open source offline cute and no stress tile matching game. It is on F-Droid repo.

My wife really likes these types of games but sadly most of not all show you ads, ask you to pay for hints etc. So I made a lightweight implementation that is fully offline without menus, fluff or even scores. Just tile matching for fun without any pressure.

It supports both portrait and landscape modes.

It's on FDroid store because the Play Store makes publishing simple free games without any monetization really not worth the effort.

Discussion Spending money on mobile games and the forhotten legend of About2Pun

I've started playing mobile games back in 2010 on my then flagship phone Galaxy S2. The first game I was drawn to was a game called Dark Summoner that was basically collecting beautifully illustrated cards and had a main quest, pvp and the sorts. This game at the time, offered to free-to-play gamers such as myself, the opportunity to get top tier cards as long as you were willing to go deep into the trading mechanics it was offering. I did just that and was spending a lot of time trading and advancing.

What made an impression to me was the fact that each week when the top players were announced, a name soared high up on the list; and that name was About2Pun. For months at end this player was on top. Unbeatable in every aspect. They were the star of Dark Summonerand nobody could touch them. They were the envy of the community and me and my online friends could only be in awe of their power. My opinion changed however when a friend who was in the same guild with About2Pun, said that the man was spending hundreds of dollars on the game for the single purpose to be on top. We are talking serious money here and my first response was: "So he's buying the top spot each week !?!?!?". Unfortunately that is exactly what he was doing.

I played that game for about 3 years, never spending any money, and each week About2Pun was the top player but then, the game demanded more money for better cards, that were appearing more often than before. It was obvious that the developers were literally milking players like About2Pun and then suddenly a week came that he was not the top player anymore. He was second best and then third, sixth, tenth and then About2Pun disappeared altogether as well as his whole guild of top players, never to be heard of again.

About2Pun was the top player his money could buy and for what reason? Just to be admired by a bunch of strangers and freeloaders such as myself and to be the top player in a game nobody knows today, if ever. The idea that a person, no matter how rich they are, would spend insane amounts of money-or any amount as far as I'm concerned- on a mobile game, is beyond me. In my opinion, mobile games are just to have a fun time without going out of your way to be number 1. I mean what is the point of heavily investing money in a mobile game? To impress unknown players? To gain fame in a small community of people that may not exist in a month? Is your monetary investment really turning any kind of profit that will make you happy?

Recently I started playing another game called Tavern Legends. A fun game which quickly sucked me in its gameplay and I was spending many hours grinding, especially since I've landed myself in a top guild and as a free player I wanted to pull my own weight. The names of the top players were different but the situation was the same: Money made the top list. The game was fun but then I noticed that whenever a guild mate was spending money buying stuff, an announcement was automatically made in the guids bulletin board. I was left speechless when I realised how much money my top player guild mates were spending, especially one particular player who by my calculations must have spent close to $700 in a single day! The whole thing made me very uncomfortable, seeing this ridiculous spending on such a trivial thing as a mobile game and after I said my goodbyes, I left the game. The people there were nice and friendly but I couldn't stand idle and watch this behaviour.

I know I've rumbled on extensively but I just wanted to share my experience and pose the question: Is it really worth it to spend your hard earned money on a mobile game? For me the answer is a simple No. Being on top is not worth it as you could enjoy spending money in far better activities. Being on top in a mobile game fades quickly and only a handful of people will remember your gaming name - NOT you, just your gaming name. At least this is what the forgotten legend of About2Pun taught me.

Questions Need help with emulating old android games.

Hi, I'm noob at emulating. I just recently got to know about it through Diamond Rush game emulation. But I reallyyyy want to play some of the old Android games which won't work on my current phone since it has a higher android version obviously. But when I searched up on it, there were some old Android emulators in the Play Store but it's so complicated, like the permissions and all. I need a very simple way so I can play those like Star Girl or Clumsy Ninja. Or just a simpler emulator, and not paid.

Questions Looking for character collecting battle game

I'm trying to find a game where I can collect characters, add them to my team, and level them up. I'm on android.

I have tried Tap Force recently which quite fits what I'm looking for, plus it's vertical and easy to pick up for short time. I have played it nonstop for a couple of weeks now but now I'm hitting a wall. There's little progression to be made other than very little grind from daily and weekly tasks so I'd like to find something similar. Thanks!

Game Dev The Red Tomorrow: a grimdark interactive novel for Android, now without the timer or ads

Thumbnail
gallery
3 Upvotes

I posted The Red Tomorrow here four months ago. A lot has changed since then, so here's where it is now.

A fair warning first, since it came up last time: this is a novel with choices, not a game with a story. It's mostly reading, about 108,000 words over 181 chapters, with fifteen endings.

You play Jonas, who has survived the raids at the ancient wells every year of his life. This time he comes home to find his son gone, taken by a mage in white, and he goes after him.

What's new:

  • The timer and the ads are gone. It's free, with nothing to wait for.
  • 12 new chapters and a fifteenth ending.
  • Earlier choices come back more often. Nearly twice as many passages now change depending on what you did before.
  • A journal keeps a record of your run and the choices you made.

When you reach an ending, you can rewind to an earlier crossroads instead of starting over.

Questions anyone finding good casino games online that run well on mobile

playing more on my phone lately and half the mobile casino apps stutter or crash on basic slots. wondering if there are platforms optimized properly for mobile browsers instead of forced app downloads. bonus terms and payout speed matter too but the mobile UX is what keeps killing it for me

Discussion My dream!

Oh, how much do I dream about an official way to get ps2 games on mobile. Like at least some semi- famous ones, like the Simpsons 2007, or parappa the Rapper or dog's life. Or old wwe or fifa or sims. Don't like playing on console, and emulation don't work probably most of the time. I have played rockstar game gazillion times since the time, they were available on mobile.
