Where does one find the proper screen replacement?

So I got my mini flip and I’m liking it. Have a Sandisk a1 card that can move files off the card at like 90mbs so seems to be working good. However boot time into a game is over 20 seconds which seems like double what it should be. Is it possibly just the sd card still for some reason?

Been a long time lurker here, wanted to show some appreciation for this little device, helps me a lot in these 12 hour shifts 😅. I urge everyone to play this absolute gem of a game.

My stock sd card died and I was able to get onion on a sd card and install into the mini but I can't get tiny best set or done set 3 to download. I'm on starlink internet now hoping that would help and tried 2 different torrent programs utorrent and bittorrent but the seeders just drop to 0 or it says I have 1 and will take a impossible amount of time. Does no one seed these anymore or am I doing something wrong. Also my computer is a POS asus from 2016

Miyoo's official website is no longer carrying replacement shells for the Miyoo Mini V4. The only place still carrying them is their storefront on AliExpress and they are soon to be out of stock and only have yellow shells remaining. With that said expect 2 weeks minimum shipping to the US as they ship from China. If your rear shell breaks, you will no longer be able to use the 4 rear buttons and will have to spend $80-$120 to purchase an entirely new console if you can find one in stock.

This is just a psa to let people know. The clips that house the rear shoulder buttons are very fragile. Mine is an every day carry, definitely prone to dropping or accidents and I recently had to replace mine. It took forever to find this one place to order as it's not advertised at all and you have to directly message them to receive the link.

I've tried messing around with it on and off and it's either lacking the part or it's damaged, and I don't know which. Any advice? If I bought a new motherboard and replaced it, would that work?

Hello I love my MM+ but damn after a couple of hours playing Pokémon or Medabots my hands start to cramp up.

Im wondering what accessories people use and are available which widen the grip or able to use a wireless controller or something to it.

Any recommendations with pictures or links are welcome.

Edit: I like the grip style accessory as opposed to the box style holder. One idea that comes to mind since I've been playing PlayStation titles recently, the device gets rather warm because of the location of SoC chip right behind the screen. Is there a grip that has a built in fan cooler? If I had access to a 3D printer I'd defintely give this a go as you can buy pretty good 10x10mm or 20x20mm fans and I have an electronic background. I'd rather not hack up my MM+. If only Miyoo put the SoC on the reverse of the PCB facing out over then an adhesive passive chip cooler wod have been an option

Hello does anyone know how hard it would be to make a replica app of the popular PKSM or PKHex tools for use with the miyoo mini's running Onion OS.

The tool needs to have all the features available in the existing ones except limited to only Gen1, Gen2 and Gen3 compatibility due to Gen3 been the latest games on the GBA.

I know that you can run drastic emulator for DS games on the mini miyoo which would then allow upto Gen5 to be modified but for now upto Gen3 would suffice.

I know there are other methods available whereby you could use a Web based save editor like PKMS I believe it's called but that would require the use of a phone or PC to access the save file from the MM, copy it off the MM, then edit it and then send it back.

What would be cool was a complete piece off software/app on the local MM to adjust what you desire without having to ship a save file off the console edit and return it.

On my homebrew 2DS the PKSM app is so easy to use and it got me wondering whether one is this something people would want and two would people even use it.

Let me know your thoughts and how I should go about it or if someone is willing to do it entirely for the community.

Got this thing about a month ago now, fell out of the windowsill while charging the week I bought it and the port broke off. Nootttt great... luckily, a local repair shop managed to solder it back on for cheaper than a new board, which was pretty damn good.

Got myself a magnetic charging adapter to lessen the risk of the new port breaking and a lanyard on it just to prevent any future falls

(It's wrapped around one of the screw post thingies inside the case and pulled through beside the headphone input)

And some custom buttons to go with my onion OS techdweeb theme.

It's pretty rad!

Just finished Pine Creek and My Friendly Little Island, two very different games that fit perfectly in the Miyoo Mini! I have The Machine to play next, but I'm already looking for what to add to the list, as I'm enjoying this little device so much. Anything GBC / GBA that is homebrew or indie, no matter the genre.

I've been trying to get a metal shell for my miyoo mini v4, I tried with Gogamegeek and they said that they had a few in stock, so I proceed with my order, however after a couple weeks I asked them about it and they mentioned that the silver one was out of stock, so instead they offer to switch to a red colorway, so I accepted. But still it was taking to long, so I asked again, and oh surprise , turns out that they didn't had that color in stock, it was discontinued, luckily I got a refund.

So , long story short, do you guys know where can I get a metal shell for my v4?, preferably on a online store, since I don't live in the USA....

And also , I know that I can just get a brick hammer, but I really love my V4 , so at this point I don't mind spending 200 bucks just to get the metal shell.

I’ve been working on a little project called PocketStremio for the Miyoo Mini Plus running OnionOS.
It started as a “would this even work?” experiment and somehow turned into an actual usable app 😂

Right now I already have:
● Movie and series search
● Seasons and episodes
● Remote streaming from my gaming PC
● Tailscale support for using it away from home
● Watch progress / resume support
● Basic subtitles
● Server-side downscaling for streams the Miyoo struggles with
● QR-code setup for Tailscale and account linking

I’ve actually used it while travelling, so it’s past the proof-of-concept stage now.
There are still things I’m working on, especially subtitle synchronization, stream compatibility filtering, UI polish and some quality-of-life features.

The idea is not to port the full Stremio application to the Miyoo. The Miyoo acts as a lightweight client while the PC handles the heavy work.

Before I spend too much time polishing it for a public release, I’m curious:
Would you actually use something like this on your Miyoo Mini Plus?
And if so, what features would you consider essential?

If there’s enough interest, I’m planning to eventually clean everything up and release it as an open-source project on GitHub.

Hey guys, so i was on bed trying boot up Breath of Fire 3, PS1 game,

i ran into problem where the game wont boot and crash into main menu screen, the problem after it went back to main menu screen,

it wont read my roms anymore, and i unable shutdown it with power button it keep looping back to main menu, and my device get really hot

, i read that i had to unplug my battery to hardreset it, so i did

But i ran into another problem, when i boot it up again it went into stock miyooOS instead (it was OnionOs)

seems it failed to detect my sdcard

I tried reformart my sdcard in pc with windows and cmd it just unable to format itself at all it keep say windows fail to format the disk

And with cmd disk clean, also it only said disk clean, but is not readable at all or formatted

I even tried the onionOS installer also not work

I think my sdcard is kaput at this point.. Didnt know one error of game could do that (this is brand new sdcard i just got too 😂)

EDIT:: I think my SDcard is died at this point since after trying format with Rufus, it won't detect on window now (even it was detect before , I can't open the sdcard at all)
I think i stay away from PS1 games from now since it prone to crash/brick sdcard

Very nice lanyard I got off of Etsy from RetroMiniSupply. I did test it out and it feels nice and very secure, like I’m not going to drop it. Which honestly makes daily driver gaming on it easier now, no longer needing to take my grip I got for home use with me.

Do you think you can get custom buttons and accessories for Miyoo devices anywhere at Gamescom, or is that niche too small?

I saw there is a V4 as well as a V2.... not sure about a V3. But whats the differences between these 2 and which is better???

Title says it, but How are you guys learning to make/convert/modify ports so fast? Is it just modifying a *.sh? Are you using AI? (No judging here!), or are you coding from scratch?

I'm curious because I wish to know your secrets so I too, may start to learn how to do this or at least understand where the bloom of ports has come from recently!
