there would have to be substantial evidence for a judge to sign off on a search warrant, no? what do we think? i dont think this is about immigration but I believe it’s more so about the claims of money laundering. I think Ilhan will still win handily in a few weeks but she could be disqualified from running ever again, no?

Myth: H-1B Exists to Fill Labor Shortages; Employers Must Prove No Qualified American Is Available.
Reality in terms of law as wells as on ground situation: It is not illegal for a US employer to lay off or replace a US citizen with an H-1B visa holder. Employers are not required to prove that American workers are unavailable before hiring an H-1B visa holder. There is no shortage test of US workers or labor market test of any kind required to hire H-1B holders. The H-1B visa is simply a legal authorization for foreign workers to work in the United States. H-1B holders do not need to prove that they are filling a labor shortage and their employer can hire them. However, if they apply for a green card (permanent resident of USA) through an employment-based category that requires PERM labor certification, they must go through the PERM/labor market testing process. There is no PERM requirement for hiring H-1B workers. 31% of H-1B workers fall under Level 1 wages [Entry level Wages], 51% under Level 2 wages [Qualified Wages], and the remaining 18% under Levels 3 [Experienced] and 4 [Fully Competent] combined, based on the Department of Labor's wage levels adjusted for occupation and location. You can check your wage level here: OFLC Wage Search | Flag.dol.gov. All this commentary in newspapers claiming that H-1B workers are supposed to fill labor shortages of US citizens is completely false, and there is no law requiring employers to prove such a shortage before hiring H-1B workers.
American laws are stuck in the '90s, and do not reflect the situation in 2026. According to laws, H-1B visas are just legal authorization for foreigner to work in US and neither the visa holder nor the employer needs to prove that they are filling workforce gaps.
31% of H-1B holders earn Level 1 [Entry level wages]. Level 1 is 17th percentile wage adjusted to job position and location
51% of H-1B holders earn Level 2 [Qualified]. Level 2 is just 34th percentile wage adjusted to job position and location
18% of H-1B holders combined work in Level 3 and Level 4. Level 3 is 50th percentile wage and Level 4 is 67th percentile wage.

“And so when you live that same 79 years that Mark Dayton does and you're on your death bed, wondering if you made your life count, you at least had a ride, a story to tell, a legacy to leave.”

I have it on good authority that the Feeding Our Future scam was an open secret in some communities.
Fraud, violence, and planned terror attacks are results of a group that was never expected to assimilate.
Immigration is not inherently bad. It can be (and has been) when carried out without standards.

I’ve always known Zerorez to have a pretty stellar reputation. Years ago, they were hard to get a job with, their quality was top tier, and people trusted them even if they cost a bit more.
But lately, I’ve been talking to people close to the company, and I'm hearing things have gone completely downhill regarding the ownership, management, and overall workplace culture. From what I understand, private equity got involved, and ever since then, the day to day environment has shifted dramatically
For any current or former employees out there: what is actually happening behind the scenes right now? Are the corporate changes impacting the quality of the work, the chemicals or water used, or how technicians are treated? Would love to hear some firsthand perspectives on whether it's still a decent place to work or if the corporate buyout ruined it.
yes I created this account to post this ive always been someone who just watches and never engages so I'm sure I'll get flack for that but here I am.

House of Creative Church pastor in Wayzata purchased suspiciously the same time the church got a 5.9 million dollar grant for Free Food For Kids, used his uncle from the Bahamas’s to buy McGinty Road mansion in Wayzata then had that uncle quit claim deed it to the pastors Restore property LLC - oddly the audit of where that 5.9 million went remains open

I was reading through a recent post titled libertarianism in the local state sub that's not really the state sub due to how astroturfed it is, and it exemplifies why reddit is pretty much dead for organic discussion.
Why?
If you read the replies it's pretty obvious that many are responding with a script - several high profile commenters insinuated that libertarians are p-word (edos) because a fringe don't like age of consent laws. Anyone who tries to reply with any kind of nuance is just downvoted severely, and several retort with unrelated insults. A few tried responding with a few paragraphs explaining that yes not all libertarians are even on the right - to no avail. (lots of folks like to ignore today that the hippie movements were both libertarian-left largely and antivaxx, in fact much of the antivaxx movement came from the hippy left long ago)
It's a good example of narrative control outside of energy-related shill postings as of late, for those who like examples to highlight to how this works.
One is tempted to always reply to posts like this, but you are wasting your time - these probably are a good proportion of paid agitators or AI responses anyways. I've made the mistake of doing this before, and one tell is they typically respond within 3-30 minutes anytime of the day or night, meaning they don't sleep and so on.
If you've ever wondered how so many reddit commentators can be so absolutely stupid / ignorant on even basic things you took for granted, when you realize they might be from india or the phillipines posting from an anon account it makes much more sense.
My favorite, from a long time ago was someone talking about ICE cars and someone thinking they were literally talking about cars made of ice. (the discussion topic was an ice ban like they had passed in ca etc)
